Finally took the bait and ordered my first PCP. After shooting a friends new Impact M3 .25 cal, I had to have one too. Now for the wait. I'm in the pipeline and on the list to get one when the next shipment arrives. Lord knows how long that will take as they are already overdue. Meanwhile I have to decide how and what I will fill it with. Maybe a big 40 cu ft bottle or one of the portables like my friend got. I'll be shooting mostly slugs for varmint and predator control. I was impressed with how quiet this M3 sniper is. I have an old Daisy red Ryder that is louder than this thing and my break barrel Gamo .177 sounds like a howitzer in comparison.

Welcome to the Dark Side. If you have any trouble finding the money pit, it's where they hide all of the good stuff, just speak up cuz, many of us, have been there several hundred times already. ;^) I have computer software that takes me there as soon as I turn it on!

Congrats but don't expect to pull it out of the box & have it shoot lights out on the first try.! Expect a little frustration but hang in there. The "rabbit hole" can be DEEP!

Buy once and cry once I've been told. I already have several mrad and MOA scopes and QD one piece mounts, bi-pod and tripods, bench shooting rests and much more for bench shooting as well as hog hunting night vision and long range and chronos so I will be able to get off to a pretty fast start. At least enough to get it tuned for what I want to do with it. I was told I would be looking at around 6 weeks wait time and that I am on the short list for when the next allocation order comes in to the dealer. We shall see I guess.
My buddy got his in less than 3 weeks just because somebody else had canceled their order and he lucked out being first on the second list. He should buy a lotto ticket. Anyway I helped him out with setting it up and zeroing the cheap $100 scope and his gun did not require any tuning adjustments to shoot 25 gr JSB Diablo pellets. Shoots one hole 5 shot groups @ 50yds. Once he gets a better scope I will set him up for 100 yd zero and 26 gr slugs..
Meanwhile I continue my due diligence search for air fill equipment and getting ready for some ear holing feral hogs at night.

I have a BOG Death Grip tripod. Anybody know a good airgun mount that will fit on this tripod to replace that death grip squeeze clamp?

Go straight to a 9 Liter carbon tank (these advertised anywhere from 88-100cf but they are the same size). Slugs mean more air at higher pressures and you are going to go through a lot of air. You'll be happy you didn't waste money on a smaller tank, especially if you have to drive to get your tank filled. It may sound like a big tank, but it really isn't and it is still light enough to carry easily.
I'd recommend either a Great White tank/valve from ExpertHpa (Joe B), or Omega 100cf with their new HP3 valve. The high quality valves on both of these tanks are designed for airgun use and make for a compact and convenient filling setup. They include features like an integrated bleed screw and auxiliary gauge that always shows tank pressure. The Omega HP3 valve is even made in the USA.

I'm hooked. Got my Impact from Ken Hicks today. Already tuned and ready to go. First five 26 gr FX Hybrid slugs @ 20yds. Tomorrow I will stretch it out to 50, 75 and 100. I put a Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25 x56 I had laying around. This will work for now.

I was amazed how quiet it is with the DonnyFL can on it. Slugs make way more noise hitting the target than the gun does.
Hogs and Coons ain't gonna have a chance with this thing. Gonna be some Varmint carnage soon. Already thinking about a P-dog hunt come next April.
