Thank you for the advice. My sons surprised me with this Avenge X .25 with scope and barrel band from Pyramid Air. I’m so grateful!! I ended up buying a compressor and a Benjamin Kratos from Air Gun Revision. My sons also bought me a plenum that I have no idea what it does. Oh they also bought me a DFL Sumo. I haven’t played with them yet. I’m so happy and excited!!

Can you get your sons to speak with my sons? Have fun learning & playing! Be prepared to try a few different projectiles til you find "the one". Not sure how pellet finicky the Avenge-X is. Being it's a .25 I'd definitely try JSB 25.39gr & 33.95gr pellets.

The plenum goes to the AvengeX. You degas the AvengeX, undo the regulator side manometer and replace it with the plenum. The bigger plenum helps by having more regulated air on tap. You can either get more power at the same psi reg level or you can lower the psi reg level and get more shots / fill for same speeds.

Congratulations and welcome. My Avenger prefers 25.4 grain FX or JSB 25.39 (they are very similar and both are made by JSB). I shoot them a little over 900 fps with the regulator at about 2100 (and no extra plenum). No harm in trying the extra plenum but if your gun likes the 25.4s it may not be needed. If it prefers the 34 grain I would guess it could be more helpful. You also need a chronograph. I use $25 ones made in China.

I don't have an Avenge X but a normal .22 Avenger and then a .25 Bullpup II Avenger. The normal Avenger has a ~20cc plenum and the Bullpup II uses the same one as you have. My c88 plenum came with washers/spacers to make it "clock" correctly. I have it on the bullpup clocked so it is parallel to the barrel going towards the muzzle. It is perfect and only needed a little bit of filing on the stock to get it to fit and to seal. I gained another magazine worth (8 shots) per fill by using the C88 plenum. The C88 was designed for the AvengeX not marketed to fit Avenger or Bullpup but i talked with C88 to confirm it's same threads as AvengeX (it is) but oddly the Avenger and AvengeX swapped sides for which is air side and regulated side of the main block. So i doubt you need filing etc to fit AvengeX since it was designed for that one.
