FX My first time shooting 100 yards

So got a new panthera and worked on tuning it even though I can’t take the reg over 150 on a brand new gun cause of a bad prong seal…. Ended up staying at the following and shot the gun out to 100 yards today…. I’m a brand new shooter so I still have a lot to learn and techniques to learn but it is a lot of fun

Gun: FX panthera .22 700mm
Slugs: h&n precision .33gr
Speed 983 fps
Setting: reg 140 adjuster at 3

Yeah need to research how to hold the gun better and proper trigger squeeze….. really trying to figure out how tight to hold the gun etc

I"m going to bet you're watching the POI move all over the place with your heart beat? Am I correct? If so, you need to time it for the resting , it's a split second but with practice you can do it, and a decent trigger pull, pull through and HOLD the trigger back, until the pellet hits. I'd also try some other pellets but do his first.

Thanks yeah i am not sure what is good with thewe guns but it seems like a good start. And yes i will work on those for sure i am going to look at other ammo for sure

Make sure your Parallax is dead nuts, if you don't know how to we can help you. Also try the heavier AEA pellets. Oh and make sure your scope is on good and square to the bore, a bunch of different methods to do that, I just use a precision level on the gun, then a scope level on the barrel to make sure the gun doesn't move, then adjust the scope using the precision level. Easy. I'm envious of your SD, looks like you got the one good gun that FX made that day.

If, as you say, you're a brand new shooter that's fantastic. With time & practice it will get even better! Try Altaros boat tail slugs or NSA 20.2gr, .2165 or .217 width depending on what the gun "prefers".

I’ve heard a lot of really good things about the altaros I’m going to order some and give them a go for sure

Research here about "slugging" your gun to find correct size. Have calipers? Measure the H&N's width for an idea of what other sizes/brands to try. Those H&Ns did pretty good.

Master your shooting skills and then start the all mighty search for perfect ammo. Take yourself out of the accuracy question .
