My FX Crown is awesome!

Received her about 2 weeks ago with 2 stocks 4 different liners and 2 different calibers.

I quickly realized she's really not up to shooting slugs in .25ndue to power limitations.

So I sold all the .25 liners and barrel, and the extra stock. (I love a synthetic stock.)

With what's left in .22 with synthetic stock, I have about 770$ in her.

And man does she stack pellets. Every kind of pellet I've shot through her. She's almost immune to fliers.

Even benjimin 14.3 grain shoot amazing! Hundreds of shots.

And slugs. That thing shoots slugs so good, I'm left speechless half the time.

Here's a few groups with the hybrids from this afternoon. At 55 yards.

They're heading out the barrel at about 955 fps.

Regis set at about 145 with the hammerspring maxed out to where maximum power is achieved.

10 shot groups at 60 are almost always covered by a nickel.

What's is awesome is when my boys want to plink with her it's a quick spin of the transfer port and the power wheel and a minor adjustment of the scope and "presto" she stacks benjimin 14 grains at 800 fps with scary consistency. For 100s of shots.

My boys told me i need to buy my own, this one is theirs. Lol

Over my dead body.

Here they are enjoying her earlier this morning. We just opened the window and fired away. Heat is cheap enough when you have a wood stove. 😌

Anyways, only complaint is she's a little long with the 700 mm barrel. I have a 380 mm barrel kit coming on monday, also .22, with the new huma transfer ports for extra efficiency and power. I'm super excited for the extra compactness.

Will keep you guys posted as that journey will unfold.

I guess I joined the fx fan club. Let's be honest, they knocked it out of the park with the crown!

Well, I now have two Crowns, a Crown Continuum in .22 and a Crown MK 2 in .30. Both have synthetic stocks. I have .25 barrels (600mm and 380mm), .22 barrels (700mm, 600mm and 380mm) and a .30 barrel (600mm). I love them all. The accuracy of each and every one is spectacular with a wide range of pellets and slugs. (I do have Superior Liners in all the barrels). The Continuum was my first and I still love it, but I must say that the Mk 2 is a powerhouse!

All I want now is a walnut stock. I just want the stock, but so far I can’t find anyone who will sell me just a stock.

Good to hear you're enjoying your Crown. I've enjoyed mine for a couple years now with no problems at all. So easy to change calibers/barrels/stocks quickly to shoot a WIDE variety of pellets/slugs at a WIDE variety of speeds very accurately. I used to have a Wildcat(didn't like low shot count, bullpup feel- noise/vibrations near my ear/on my cheek, and harder to shoot well from bench) and a Dreamline(cocking lever definitely not as smooth, not as easy to change calibers, a little underpowered). They are both gone now.

Impact has a definite power advantage, but has more maintenance issues and "bullpup" issues as well. Crown has flexability and smoothness advantages. I like how it feels and handles more like a "regular" rifle.

I guess it's all about personal preferences.

Krale used to sell just the stock. I bought a whole 'nother Crown to get my walnut stock, lol. I put a new synthetic stock back on the gen 2, and sold it. I was going to keep it, but ended up needing the cash at the time. Glad I did it that way. Because the walnut they have been using here lately has been horrifyingly bland. To the point it almost doesnt look like walnut. The wood actually did change the balance of the gun. Improved in my opinion. And added a subtle amount of stability due to the little extra weight. Feels just right IMO.

Thanks for the tip about Krale. I’m going to check them out today and see if they have the stocks and will ship them to the USA. I thought about going the “whole gun route” just to get the walnut stock, but knowing myself I then would just keep the gun and I really don’t need another gun 😂

Just got my 380 mm barrel yesterday. .22 caliber with the superior liner. It is so sweet and compact and fun to shoot. Loads of power, but like shooting 15.9 grain pellets at 850 fps.

Super accurate and 100s of shots per fill with my 500 cc bottle.

I just cannot say enough good about this gun. Having owned dozens of different pcps, this is my favorite by a long long way.
