My humbling- simple as that!

Now, I’m active on the forums, my knowledge is still limited, but my enthusiasm is high, always wish to help lesser informed individuals as per our guidelines. What catches me off guard is how limited MY knowledge is! I keep getting these responses to old posts of mine and I’m like WTF??? What was I thinking? Back then. Now I’m decent at asking relevant questions, but can see I’m smoked with the qualified responses. Hey, as long as information is shared! , so be it!

I'm glad this forum is mostly populated by helpful, sharing people. 8 years in & I'm still learning stuff. Things that I HAVE learned & passed along to others in need has solved some of their problems. I like being of service but really happy that there are others I can turn to when needed who are just as eager to help. Nice airgun fellowship, I never feel stupid here when having questions, simply not yet educated.

everyday pick a thread that you nothing about and go find the answer
that might sound stupid but it your way to learn
you don't need to post that is not the goal
how does this help you
say you see a rifle or pistol you would like and you know nothing about it so you look for a parts diagram and then parts and availability and cost and after that you may have changed your mine because there are no parts and next time you see one for sale you know to walk on by
and if you do this for 10-15 years you will have a general grasp of where you can find answers, where to find parts, where to find info
now a Blue Book is a great source of info but they have stopped printing new ones
learn about what you have, what you want and things you will never have it is like a million-piece puzzle and you are finding and placing one piece at a time
will you always find the answer NO then you will learn from a forum member that knows and posts to the thread

shooting, tinkering and learning are part of this hobby and read more than one forum

Thats beautiful, this could be applied to so many things in life. My hobby is simply acquiring more knowledge. I get satisfaction when that knowledge is applied and I see the results in front of me.
