Had a Hawk swoop in and snatch up a cotton tail i had lined up in the sights before. I was like WTF just happened. All I could do was laugh.

Definitely. These birds have been the cleanup crew for about 2 years at my place when I down a squirrel. Nice photos.
What I have are bar owls. They come in 2s or 3s. I tried to predict juveniles etc but I'm not sure. At first I believe 3 or 4 came in but I wasn't paying attention to enough detail to make that distinction.

Here they cleanup the squirrels. Most of the time within minutes of a kill. If you do not disturb the scene of the squirrel death.
Here is one scenario. I can walk right up on these birds. Within 5 feet every time. They're boss birds
