My last 5 months dealing with PCP addiction (& .22 FX Impact first impressions)

"Ginuwine1969"Hello, my name is Joe and i'm an airgun addict, i've only been using about 24 months now. I started off with the easy stuff at first like most, air soft, then moved to a .177 springer but just wasn't enough, so went dark with a s510 which eased that itch for sometime, but the dark side is alway there calling for more. So went deeper and got a .22 Cricket and I thought I was in heaven, poop i probably was for some time. Now the yearning is growing again and i feel like a .25 wildcat or impact is the only thing that will satisfy that thirst. So again, I say to you guys, "hello my name is Joe and i'm an airgun addict". LOL
Keep coming back!

I used to be an airgun addict but now I'm a squirrel serial killer. Knocking them out of trees with my Cricket .25 is just so satisfying. I find it to be a good way of spending more time shooting and less time staring at the classifieds for more air guns. Murder is meat!

"hotdoggins"Sweet !!! Dang !! Awesome ! That's most be a great feeling to look in closet and see all those ! Come on a Edgun that you don't even us.... Your Blessed ! I like your points on the .22 quit, cheaper ammo : ) I have a Bobcat .25 she is huge . I think my next rifle will be a true bullpup . Thanks for sharing : ) PS I want your Edgun : )
Thanks, but actually, it's not that great a feeling b/c I normally only like to keep two rifles in my collection because that's realistically the most I'll ever shoot. So when I look in the safe now and basically see four other PCP's that will hardly get any use, it makes me think of where else I could've/should've spent this slush fund . . . like more H&K handguns, for example! :)

One of two of these may get sold off in the near future but having a hard time deciding which one(s). Hard to think about moving the Edgun because it's been so trusty and has always been my go-to PCP for 4-5 years now - plus, this particular is basically brand new, has shot less than 100 pellets, and isn't even broken in yet. I paid something like $1750 in trade for it just a couple of months ago but the going rate for one now is $1250-$1300 so it's kind of tough to take such a huge hit for a quality rifle in new condition that I've barely shot.

My only airguns at the moment are a Marauder .25.....which is too heavy and leaks down lately. The other gun is an old Sheridan that I got for my 12th birthday in 1958. I am hoping that when my Impact .30 arrives, it will cover all bases, so I can unload the Mrod. Only need one shooter. Will never sell the Sheridan, even though I don't shoot it any more(can't see the sights and scopes don't fit on it, being a pumper). Grand kids will get that one in a few years.

"Lou"Wow, great collection So which one is the most accurate? :)
I want this answer too.
All of these PCP's are far more accurate than I could ever hope to be. I don't clamp the rifle down; I either shoot off of a front bag or bipod so anything that hits off of the center of the crosshairs is more than likely because of me. That said, the rifle I am most consistent/confident with currently is the Vulcan - not necessarily because it is that much more accurate than any of the others but because the overall experience of shooting it is easier/better than the others. It's comfortable to hold and shoot, it's easy to cock with the forward bolt, and I know pretty much anything I point it at gets hit - and hard. The Hummingbirds may not index, skip a pellet in the mag, or double load - any of which will result in a missed opportunity to take out that sneaky squirrel that finally presented itself in the yard. The MCT was too long, heavy. The Edgun's rear bolt is not nearly as enjoyable to use and, since this one is basically brand new, isn't close to be broken in so it takes extra effort to cock. The Impact is the newest so it's still more of a novelty factor with it but it's giving the Vulcan some competition for trigger time. We'll see in a couple of months if that still holds true.
