My new .30 Impact M3 came with a single transfer port?

Finally received my .30 Impact M3. Upon inspection, it only has a single round transfer port, not the dual transfer ports that are 180 deg apart. Upon re-reading some of the M3 launch literature, specifics on the dual transfer port are vague. It says "some barrels" or "most calibers" come with the dual transfer port.

Does anyone know more? I'm starting with pellets, but do plan to give slugs a try soon. Would be nice to know if this setup is capable of slinging slugs at 950+ fps.

Just so you know, on my Crown MK2, the .30 cal single transfer port gives higher velocities than the dual port barrel (I have both) at any given reg pressure up to 150 Bar. This is the case with pellets anyway.

I'm sure it can push standard weight slugs to 950 but you'll need to flare and elongate the single port (which I prefer) to get heavy slugs up to that speed. I have a modified gen2 shooting 66gn slugs at 948 on 150 bar from a 700mm barrel. 132 ft/lbs

Always keep the transfer port narrower than the bore diameter to keep projectiles from tipping into the port while being chambered. Flare the entrance to a little over 7mm to be sure it covers the entire port that feeds it and elongate the port slightly towards the chamber. Some people use the pin style probe and like it but I prefer to modify the original tube style probe for better flow and feeding. Here's a pic of my port and probe. My valve is also modified a little.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm only planning on slugs up to around 50gr, so it sounds like the standard single round port should handle that. Which makes me think FX might only plan to use the single port on the .30. Maybe the .22 and .25 benefit the most from a bigger 'slug port' due to the smaller projectile diameter and range of slug weights people commonly shoot in them?
