Zbroia My new "black rifle!"

I believe,,, that the Hortitsia and the Kozak share the same magazine, the Danko sst should fit both

the Zbroia Sapsan mags are different and the Sapsan 'S' magazines are different from all of them

my little Kozak COMPACT has a 330 mm barrel and a 180cc air tube, love this little gun. It is an older model, from before Joe became Zbroia USA, I got mine from Airgun Heaven, I thought I was getting the longer version with more ft/lb energy and was unhappy at first that I got the short one.
It did not take me long to realize the compact was a better fit for my home pesting chores :) 35 yds or less to various feeders

I have wanted to try the Hortitsia with it's unique cocking catch, basically the same as the Kozak. Stock and cocking are the 2 main differences

As I stated earlier, my rifle is a March 2020 mfg date. This video appears to show up-to-date improvements to the rifle.

I was out on the back porch yesterday giving most of my rifles some exercise. I broke out the Hortitsia and it was extremely accurate as always. My wife was out watering the flowers and on one of the shots I got a very loud "back blast" of which she complained the neighbors were going to call the police. ;) Well I started doing some trouble shooting and found the breech O-ring looped around the pellet probe. It was obvious it had somehow come loose from where it was supposed to go. I did a youtube search to try and find a "how to" replace the o-ring, to no avail. So after trying to fit the o-ring back into the breech, to no avail, I decided to remove the barrel to see if that would give me better access. That process starts with removing the scope, removing the picatinny rail (five screws) then removing an alignment grub screw and then another smaller grub screw. The shroud is held in place by another grub screw and twists off. The barrel just pulls out with some twisting back and forth. A very tight/precise fit into the block. I re-lubed all the o-rings on the air stripper which unscrews from the shroud, as well as the o-ring on the end of the metal base ring, against which the shroud is tightened. To make the rest of this story shorter, the breech o-ring does not fit into a groove just inside the throat, but simply rests against brass base on the barrel side of the breech. No way to replace it without taking off the barrel (for future reference to Hortitsia owners.) Applied silicone grease, slid the barrel back in and secured it in place with the barrel positioning grub screw. Tightened the smaller grub screw, then reinstalled the shroud, tightened its grub screw then slid the air stripper back into place and screwed it onto the end of the barrel. Test fired (dry) the rifle and normal "pfff" sound of air. Replaced picatinny rail, scope and took it out and test fired with pellets and it was almost exactly aligned with scope poi. A few clicks and I was once again stacking pellets at 25 yds. This is an amazingly accurate little "black rifle." Definite keeper. 🍻

I'm on my second Sapsan, I like the gun but the damn regulators on both just can't remain steady, luckily it doesn't matter for accuracy.

I have a slow leak in my Hortitsia. Cannot discover from where. Over a few days, leaks down from 250 BAR to around 150 BAR and holds there. Any ideas. Thanks.
The pressure tube and valve are all one piece that can be safely unscrewed from the action and the rest of the rifle while fully charged, I believe you will need to remove the stock to do so.. atleast on mine that is the case because it’s too tight against the tube to allow it to turn.

Once you have the tube by itself I would stick the valve end into a container of water and watch for bubbles. If you don’t see any after a few min you can simply flip the tube and stick the fill probe/gauge end in the water to see if it’s coming from that end.

Those two ends of the tube are the only places it’s possible for an air leak on this particular rifle.
Hope this helps

remove both ends from air tube, after you degas by pushing the valve stem in,,, I just push the stem on the floor. a little bump/bounce at the start, till I can push it against the floor for it's last breath out,
I use a wood dowel 1/2 ' or more and push the reg out, push from gauge end, only comes out the valve end, internal step inside of the tube.
reg O.D. o-rings (2) are 22.5 mm ID 3mm CS cross section. This size fits the end pieces of the tube also
