My new FX for backyard pesting.

Not sure why they say to heavy for a carry gun you see all the Iguana hunters in Florida walking around to the property through using full-size scopes not everybody wants a compact scope feel the view is terrible especially if you’re shooting it any distance. Just my opinion and my eye.
Exactly! Every time someone utters the words "too heavy" I think of a woman or a guy that needs to do some push-ups:ROFLMAO: I'm 6' and a solid 207lbs and a BJJ and MMA trainer and school owner for a living. I'm also kinda going blind already at 46 years of age and like you say, I enjoy a larger field of view.

I agree .nice rig I bought a compact and a helix. I also have a m3 sniper. When I hunt I hike several miles and I prefer 7power scope for stalking small game. Saw mountain quail Sunday in 4000 ft . My guns aren't for bench shooting that's why I gave you my opinion. I still like you fx compact. My favorite gun.

Wondering if swapping to a peek valve is helping with the Stiction issues they were having or not. Neither of mine were reg creepers, but still seemed to have that first couple shots off. My .25 wasn’t necessarily high power, but my .30 was, and still had the issue. I believe the maverick is more consistent than even the new M3, just less tuneability.
It's a sticktion problem in the plenum with the o-ring if tune it with more hammer spring you can get most of it out or you can put in a tighter tolerance peek disc and use a viton o-ring instead of pur 90 that's in there causing sticktion I've made a peek disc and went to viton my first shot after sitting for 24 hours was within 8 fps of my other shots and others have tuned it almost out using extra hammer

I think this calls for a picture of your off hand groups with this rifle. If you’re “in shape” it should be no issue for you to show us a 1/2” group at 30 yds off hand with that “heavy“ rifle.
having issues taking constructive criticism on a forum is one thing, but belittling people that aren’t as “in shape” as you are is just plain mean.

Hopefully his training tone is less strident then his written tone. Its not like we said someone’s baby was ugly… testosterone can do funny things to ones ego. I work a physical job all week long and am fit. I choose to pest with a light gun. I bet the average age demographic among us here on AGN is up in the 50s or 60s. At those ages many of us have some “wear and tear” issues…

I also work a physical job, and whil I don’t call myself “fit”, I’m not in the worst shape. I also prefer lighter guns for pesting and carry. I think some just need to prove something to themselves.

Correction, the belittling started on the side who did the criticizing in the first place, not on the side of the person responding. People shouldn't dish it out if they are unable to receive it back. But, that is what this generation of thin-skinned pansies is all about, safe space lol! People of this generation and on the internet in general have become way to comfortable with running their mouths without consequence. With that being said, in terms of your request for off hand groups lol, come out here in person and make the request and I'll be more than happy to discuss it with you. If it goes your way you can video it:) Like the great philosopher Scarface once said: The only thing in this world that gives orders is balls! It would probably be much easier for you to just enjoy the pics and the original intent for this thread than to start writing things to a person whom you would not even say a single word to in person. Just enjoy the pics and keep on moving along(y)

And if you're happy with what you shoot and how you've built it, you won't hear any criticism from me. Because unlike a few on here, I really don't care if everyone else builds according to what I prefer. Their money their choice....I'm happy to see other people happy. It's a very easy concept to grasp once you give it a try. As far as my tone goes lol, it has nothing to do with ego, it has to do with letting you know everything on this build was my choice and purchased with my money and should be respected as such. If you're to weak to shoot what I've built then build something more in tune with your capabilities, but don't criticize me according to your limitations. Live and let live, it's not that hard.

Yup. That’s all I need to know about you.

Dude you posted your gun for people to “opine”… and are getting angry and upset that they did? It’s understood by adults that we all get to buy and use what we like… No one is trying to “CHANGE” your mind. Your tone speaks volumes about you… Tapping out! Because you can’t seem to grasp why you posted in the first place. You are a rude dude… have no time for that.

PS: Your Impact as set up is fugly…😉😁

I am just going to go out and say it. I am an abrasive human being, and I am very opinionated (working on this each day), I don't like lots of people, I have my quarters but pennies I have no interest in (quality, not quantity). With that said, ABQJoe SEEMS to be one of the most self absorbed people on this forum, quite literally telling people in one of his last posts in this thread to like his pics or don't speak... wtf is that? In the same post telling someone they would not say anything to him face to face ?? Yet he doesn't know this person either, so its safe to say hes assuming this person is some feeble weak physically and weak minded individual, or its safe to say he assumes he is the almightys gift to man kind and he is invincible? now seriously, WHAT THE **** IS THAT? never been humbled most likely.......... Every time someone posts an opinion that is DIFFERENT than his within the same post, it becomes an automatic OPPOSITION not a form of discussion and tries to cover it with some sort of moral high ground. Also seems quite entitled. Everything that is portrayed through his posts (maybe its how he words things? Maybe its actually who he is? That I cannot say, the internet leaves a lot to be desired in terms of communication) he posts via his text that he is the complete opposite as if he is convincing himself he is not the way others see him. "I don't buy things based on popular opinion" ... buys things that have the most popular opinion . "This new generation are a bunch of whinebags" (not verbatim there but you get it) .... then cries that fedex requires a signature and won't do the old school thing and try and work WITH the seller and take 5 minutes.. 300 seconds tops , to log on to fedex and just simply click it off and then when others try to point out a solution that would make it less frustrating for him even if it isn't the exact outcome he wants, more excuses for why this can't be done arise... very "kareny".

I powerlifted for 9/10 years, almost a third of my life, I still set my rifles up accordingly and keep them light. Less effort needed to make an ethical kill the more my skill can be applied.

Sexy rifle indeed, I have the M3 .30 sniper in bronze like yours!
Thank you. I have an M3 .30 Sniper but in all black, would definitely prefer bronze though because it really is a great color! I just wish more parts were available in bronze to match it and from what I've heard, the bronze that FX uses is a specific shade made for them.

I’m glad it shoots well for you but I’m questioning how FX has the gun tuned if it requires that giant can on it. My M3 compact .22 is a slug shooter at pretty high reg settings and the gun doesn’t require but the smallest can to be dead silent. Your “compact” appears to be the same length as my 600mm Impact. I understand if you like your guns like you like your women with big cans, that’s fine. But it only takes half of that to quiet a properly tuned Impact. When I buy a compact airgun I try to keep it compact. Quality efficient guns fortunately let you do it.

I agree, my Compact was making 29 fpe and only needed the Huggett Atom which is only 1.22 diameter by 3.5 long and it was whisper quiet.

IDK that it requires the Sumo, but when I purchased it from The Pellet Shop he asked me if I wanted to add a moderator and I told him yes. I told him the gun would mainly be used in my backyard and that I needed something quiet as can be and he recommended the Sumo, so I bought it. My Compact is actually the 500mm variant, not the 600mm.
