My new GX PUMP E-CS4 compressor has supposedly a built-in filter but where is it?

Hi guys

those of you who own one of these might be able to help me..

i read that this compressor

GX PUMP E-CS4​

has a built-in filter but where is it and how to service it or how to drain it?

It does not require service under normal use, it is drained when you open the bleed valve. The bleed valve is connected to the bottom of it.

Only time it may ever need service is if you have over greased the compressor and the grease gets into it. There are small beads in there to increase surface area to condense water droplets. Access to those beads requires the removal of the pressure gauge and brass nut under it.

so that's what others meant when they wrote about draining every few minutes- just open the bleed valve while charging for a spilt second?

so no need for external add-on filters- this built-in filter does the job efficiently?
 
The internal one works pretty good when filling guns as it will not get over saturated.

And yes, if you are filling for longer periods you'll want to open and close that to clear out the moisture.

GX will have an excellent add on filter soon and it'll be a perfect compliment to the cs compressors, especially the cs4 models when filling for longer periods.
