Very nice review. I like that you also stated the bad points. It appears that the valve is working great for the .25. I may be able to overlook the lowerish power if the valve is functioning optimally. After having a close lookover, does it appear that the power could be increased with a little valve work without hurting the ES?

I suspect they may have on yours, or the assembler applied so much lube first that the thread locker didn't set.
The demo gun was stock right out of the box to the best of my knowledge. I've heard the trigger is widely variable from gun to gun due to the design, and final fit and finish. The long trigger rod linkage is a huge variable, if it's torqued, bent, or rubbing inside the stock it will throw everything off.

Definitly deadslinger, I have not pulled the valve or done any other work other than trying to mill out the adjustable port.
I think if the port was simply opened up it would throw it around 40-45 FPE. I have an idea to bypass the adjustable port but it would render the adjustability moot. By tapping both side of where the port post goes through the breech block, you could then plug both ends sealing up the port area. Then it would already be open more. After that if more was needed the valve could opened up more. This is just a theory until I do more exploration into the internals.
At this point, it is so efficient and accurate, I hate to really get personal with the internals. At 35.5 FPE it is underpowered for my taste, but will take any small game I will encounter in the deer blind.
Hell my FX Royale it is replacing, was killing Racoons at 65 yards, and squirrels out to 80. And it was .22 cal.

I have done my fair share of modding but I would not consider myself hard core. I work hard for accuracy as my ultimate goal. As a competive field target shooter. Traveling around the AAFTA Grand Prix circuit costs some investment in $$ and time.
I am retired so the time is covered. But $$ is another thing so I need the gun to be the best it can be. After that it is all me. I do 6 of these matches a year and several others that are only one day, but in different states than mine.
So efficient, accurate rifles and pistols are a must. If I need more than I can handle I will have one of our club members do the serious milling and such. Will Piatt of Saddle Mountain Gunsmithing is the guy! He can work miracles on tuning air rifles.
The monolithic breech Bloch poses some problems with the trigger mods but the valve is straight forward and easy to remove.

Great review! Sounds like some assembly fiddling but an otherwise fine Airgun, looks sharp. I'm interested in reading about the Kral on this thread, bullboss? Not so much.
I'm the proud owner of a new Airgun that competes with the new FX, but I'm not spouting off about that on streamline threads. No ones wants to hear it.

Ok In all fairness to the Bullboss fan, I decided to research that gun. Found two things that I prefer from the Kral to it..
1 is the gun with a small scope in one of the reviews, the guy said it weighed 12.5 LBS. That is a little heavier than than mine at 9.8 lbs. and his was a .22 mine is a.25 with the weight of the spare mag in the fore stock, and a heavy inexpensive UTG Accushot short scope at over 2 lbs of the weight. it may be a different story with the new Atheon scope when it arrives as it is a variable to 24 power and will be longer . No biggie as I use a 14.5 lb Styer offhand in comp's.
2, and the the big one for me, was the accuracy. All the reviews I saw, they were using .22 and the gun was not as accurate as the Kral in .25!
In no wind, at 24-30 yards, the Kral will stack pellets in one hole if you do your job. Yes not all the time but MOST of the time. It did it with another shooter off a picnic table and bag, So it was not my concrete bench and bag that made the difference. it was the gun. That is worth the gun to me alone.
The fact that the Bullboss has an integral moderator, that is part of the barrel and non removable is not my favorite. If it gets nicked or slightly damaged in hunting you could replace the internals according to the reviewer. With serious damage kike afall, would you have to replace the barrel? I don't know. .. However the Krals shroud is not part of the barrel and can support the removable Mrod baffles. I ordered some for $24-00 a set complete with spring and free shipping. Damage one of them and simply replace it or any part of the shroud that gets damaged, like the screw cap, etc. Also my Brocock threaded moderator or any other threaded moderator will go on the end of the threaded barrel of the Kral. I have already put mine on it, and it becomes as quiet as my FX's moderator.... I prefer the baffles as the separate moderator adds 7" exactly which I am trying to avoid.. I like the versatility of the Kral for mods.
Now, I must say that I do like the placement of the charging lever on the Bullboss over the Kral, I also like the simple magazine loading.too. But for me, AND I STRESS, ME !, ... The Kral is just the ticket to fill the requirements of my hunting needs in a pop up blind. This gun will sit on the ground on a bi pod, while deer hunting. When an offending pest shows up, it will disappear at ranges from 25 yad to 100 with assured accuracy.
I know this post was intended as one to review the Kral for those interested or considering buying one. I wanted to give the clear data to help make a choice if desired.I did not want to do a comparison of bull pups, but I felt that I would offer the Bullboss poster a fair shake, and add more reasons why I choose the Kral.
I never Poo Poo anyone's decision to buy a certain gun or product. Nor do I slam them for doing so. I try to be objective in my queries and opinions if asked. Thanks for the review Strikefast, much appreciated! Question: You mentioned adjusting the hammer spring a little. Is it pretty obvious where the adjustment is and which way to turn it (CW or CCW) to increase/decrease power once the stock is removed? I have a .25 MRod & a Hatsan AT44 so I'm familiar with making the adjustment on those.
I'm gonna be ordering a KBSBP (they COULD do a better job with the name. lol).

Breaker Silent is OK ...But Puncher? Wow...The hammer adjustment on the breaker Silent is accessed with the stock off. No nice easy dual Allen wrench acessabke adjuster like the Maurader. It is a large, abeit very thin, flat screwdriver slot. Turning it clockwise takes the hammer tension up and increase s the FOS and of course the FPE.
Also the trigger adjustment is below there too. I did notice tgsty safety does not work anymore. No issue for me as I usually don't use one. After shooting while hunting , I don't cock it until the next critter.
This seems like the same thing that happens when adjusting the trigger pull on the Maurader and 1720T. When it gets to a certain point going light on the pull the safety ceases to work.
I will pull the stock off after my dinner and post the adjustment points on the gun. I imagine the adjusters on all the Kral rifles are the same....

The one thing that I think surprised me the most is the low ES. The shot to shot consistency of the PB rivals every gun I have owned which includes an Air Ranger, Compatto, Vulcan, Ataman, Air Arms, Max ML and a Rainstorm. The fact that its done without a reg is why I find it so impressive.

You and me too ...My Styer is 6 and 1 and sometimes at 8 and 2 depending on the cold.
And it is thousands more then the Kral. Put me on my a$$ when I shot it.

I've got one on the way, being tuned right now. I hope it doesn't self-disassemble like yours is doing, because to me, that's not acceptable on a PCP. (and BARELY acceptable on a springer) Rating it 'excellent' is very generous.
