What're you using Paul, wire feed/MIG? You might have gotten away with TIG brazing...oh well!

Hey Ed, try Air venturi at PA. I needed a side plate and striker fired a guys blizzard I worked on. They had the ate but not the striker. Cost 14.00 plus 7$ from PA.
From South Korea tge striker and bolt was $20 ..... But the shipping was $50

Mag 13 I did not have the Tig set for the mig welder...
That's ok as I had a new lever, and it was very cool looking when it gave up the ghost! Some enjoyment in watching it die......

Heck, even if the lever was made out of 6061 T-6 with a bushing it would hold stronger than that crap zinc casting.

Mag, it would be easy to cobble a new lever from some stainless with hand tool. It is that simply designed. The hard part would be tapping the front hole as it is a M3x.5 A tiny thing.
Getting the Evanix lever is the easiest and definitely strong way to go.
No muss no fuss.... Just need a 3/16" drill bit and you're in business...

Oh yeah, I'm sure of that. I've fab'd a part or two by usind only drill press, band saw, dremel, files, etc. I was actually referring to the manufacturer...Kral Arms

I'm friends with Tyler Patner and I just sent him an email seeing if he was aware of the flaw, and if PA or AV have any Blizzard levers in stock.....

Met Tyler on the Grand Prix circuit for field target. He is a good guy... We have shot at many GPs together. I am heading to Heflin. Alabama this Thursday. It is the Southern Open Grand Prix.
I don't know if he is going or not. He missed the Cajun Classic this year. He is very busy evidently. He will still host the Pyramid Air Cup and I will see him there.
The Southern Open did not have a pistol competition and I was able to plead our case for one. They relented and myself and a competitor from Texas organised a pistol match. I am supplying all the targets, and Bob in Texas has made the course plan. Should be fun.
My problem is that I am trying to finish two orders for 6 of my custom field targets before I go. No time to practice and my local club match shows it.

Tyler got back to me. He said PA is aware of the issue, and are working with Kral on it. Also they are getting spare levers on the next shipment. He did not say they were new and stronger, just spares.

I would not think they they'd charge for the lever. However, they are crazy about their shipping. So I would expect them to charge for that.

Yeah, well, they should not have to eat the cost whether it's shipping & the manufacturer should stand behind a flaw in producing something that can't stand up to repetitive use or force, but....we know how that goes.

I am surprised that the levers did not fail inspection when manufactured. The sear not being hardned is another metal fupah.
Trying to keep the gun price down drove them to use inferior materials.
It's a Shame as the gun is pretty decent shooting.

Paul--I'll definitely be calling PA tomorrow & asking for AV parts. I'm thinking that unless they just happen to have the Evanix lever in stock it'll probably end up costing about the same but take longer to receive. ??? I'm probably overthinking this but I wouldn't be surprised if there ends up being a run on that part. If I don't get good news from PA tomorrow I'm gonna bite the bullet (pellet?) and order from the UK. Then when I get it I'm gonna count on your mechanical expertise in explaining the particulars of the installation. I get the 3/16" re-drill but I ain't sure how to get the POS one out and the new one in. Something for you to do to pass the time. You know, so you don't get bored...........

Funny Ed,. It is really as simple as taking out the two screws, drill out the back hole and replace....

Btw, I sent an email directly to Kral CS about 6 weeks ago just asking about spare parts availability in the US and never received any reply. Also, this "gunspares co" in the UK has spare parts listed for tons of manufacturers but when you click on Kral all that shows is a nice blank page. Not good and too bad 'cause I really love the thing.
