Hahaha, I hear ya Willie...Earlier in this post I said if it turns out to be a good rifle, I might consider buying one in .177 for FT...... .25 hell no!
It is hard enough to put the .177 pellets through a 3/8" hole which is the minimum for a AAFTA kill zone.
Presently many competitors are using Mike Niksch's Thomas rifle in the carbine configuration. I have held one off hand at the Nationals this past year. The bulk of the weight being close to the core of my body, made it considerably nice for that position a little easier to hold on target. That fact and the lighter weight seems well suited for FT.
However as I shoot off a bum bag and my knee in my class, I don't know how it would do in that position. It most likely needs a butt hook and possibly a knee riser.
It would be nice to get a 9.8 lb gun with the scope, and perhaps 2 lbs more in acessories on the trail. Beats my 14.5 lb 44.5" long Steyer... However, unless putting a Polygonal LW barrel on the Kral, I doubt it would make the grade.... I was just thinking out loud.
Also you are correct. Direct trigger over the linkage bar for sure. That Kral setup is ok for hunting, but too simplified for a true target trigger/match grade.... Good questions though...Didn't mean to confuse...
