Yes, Kentek again with another newbie question.

I used my compressor to fill the tank and it filled to the setting I chose: about 2500 PSI. (should I attempt another fill @ 2900?)

However, when I fill the Diana Bandit the Bandit gauge never gets out of the yellow range. Bandit shoots but I think it is at the low end of performance. Makes almost no noise at all; like clapping ones hands. )

This is a new Ninja 68/4500 with Ninja regulator- says Standard SLP, SHP. (I don't know what this is)

Am I doing something incorrectly?

Your Ninja tank will handle more fill pressure but (and I don't know the terminology either, on their regs) the reg may be set for paintball use so think 800psi/55ish bar output.(CO2 pressures). You can fill that gun to 2900psi/200 bar.

I wish I could help you figure out the reg's output pressure but I've never touched a ninja reg.

On the flip side, most of us don't use tanks with regulated output pressure. Tanks with good gauges will tell you where you are in the fill process and hopefully the guns gauge is good enough to confirm, go really slow and you just close the valve when the pressure shows right.. Tank regulators are common for tethered shooting, but even that's a small (but growing) %.

I just went through a similar thing with my ninja 90 lite and my Benjamin Marauder. I contacted Ninja and they helped. I had to add some spacer washers to bring the regulator output up to the needed 3000psi. 



Contact them and have some pics of the tank/regulator and model numbers to send to them. They will most likely send the spacers at no cost (at least they did for me). They are very helpful and stay in contact until it is right by you.

Call the Ninja folks, as stated 3 posts up. You could get an unregulated fill valve setup but it would cost more, $100-200. Cheaper, if not free, to redo the reg you have. All the info needed is out there but I'd still start with the Ninja folks. Or... sell what you have on a paintball forum and invest in a tank with a more typical fill valve. I'm going to be busy this evening but I can send pics of what I use.... Good source of info, Joe B / Airtanksforsale.com. Vendor here. Wouldn't guess he'd have the parts you'd need but they can explain everything better than I can.

Don't purchase them! Just contact Ninja through email, include a pic of the tank/regulator setup, and explain you current pressure and your goal pressure. They will send you the correct washer, and a few spare, and instructions on which ones to install. They were great to work with!



Skip the research and testing and just get the parts and answers from the source.

I don't believe it is possible to adjust a SLP or SHP regulator up to 3K PSI output. If you want to remain regulated then you have to have an X Reg for 3K output!

A XREG runs $100 Plus you have to have a "Long Pin" ASA because the Regulator has a ball check valve and not a pin check valve like the Paint Ball Regulators.

The 3K Regulator is easy to identify because it has an orange / gold anodized body!

OK, so I am making headway on solution. Ordered new regulator, the gold PCP one, off Amazon for $100.

Item next: I am told that this reg requires a long pin fill station. Anyone have a source for a product that doesn't cost arm and a leg?

And, is there a market for a almost never used Ninja Standard Regulator? 

On Airguns: Long and expensive learning curve.

You will now probably have to get the Ninja Fill station due to the recessed pin.

You could have gotten some .047 bellvilles and then you could use a mini CP ASA on/off with bleed which works great. It is super easy to open for filling and bleeding the air.

You would have to also put a 5K burst disc in the output side, but the regular Ninja regs will go to 3K output. I have mine set at 2900. Here it is with my fill probe, and then with a deadhead open showing output pressure
