Nice work OP. Mine is not quite that elaborate, just a 16" x 16" heavy duty cardboard box with the rubber mulch in it, packed tight. It works though, and will even stop a .22 LR HV round at 25 yards! It will stop any of the .177 & .22 pellets I shoot at it with.

Crossman, I use the same thing except mine are 16 x 24. I have shot a .35 Hatsan at 20 yards and it stopped them. When I''m done shooting I just use duct tape to cover the holes.

After about 700 .25s and 500 .22s. The rubber tile is holding up really good. I was wondering about eating a hole in one spot. You know "One ragged hole". It's generally a burden I have to live with. Actually accidentally shooting my thumb tacks that pin the target down.

I use 1/2" thick rubber mats for my livestock trailer that would probably work in place of the "tile". They come from Tractor Supply around here!

Just moved out of my condo and into a house where I can shoot my pellet rifles. While I have been mostly working on the house I have a few targets set up. I was thinking too about a portable target stand. My initial thought was to get a hand truck and mount a target backer to it to make it mobile like your project. I like the idea of the rubber facing to make impacts quieter and hopefully the face more durable. Thanks for the sources of the rubber matting at Home Depot and Tractor Supply. Airgun Bill

After a couple thousand more pellets have been put through it. The tile is holding up well!

I just recently bought the horse stall mat from farm and fleet 3/4 thick 4 by 6 made 2 20 by20 works great

All pressure treated except the plywood. Best thing about it, is 4000 pellets and the tile is holding up.
