Beeman My take on a Beeman Marshall carbine

Finally got my project finished up. Started life as a 2028 pistol. Not a fan of the plastic buck rail kit for these guns, so I went to town with a buttstock off a kral I had laying around. Molded it all together with Fiberglass resin.

Painted with a silver base and charcoal metallic top coat to give it a nice pewter finish. Was trying to match the matte carbon fiber I used for the shroud. Now I'm thinking about clear coating the carbon fiber, and maybe redo the paint just a bit darker.

Needed a lot of love done to the barrel, but it's minute of squirrel noggin now. 20 shots at 700-725 with air arms 16s. Will serve well as a bird and squirrel buster under 40 yards.

It's quiet enough not to spook my old beagle who runs and hides when it thunders or there are fireworks. She just stayed on her loveseat and cuddled with her stuffed animals lol. She gets nervous when she even sees a gun. Definitely not a hunting dog!

Im hoping to get it oustide this weekend, but it's supposed to be -4 on Sunday morning here, so I doubt that'll happen.

Here's a bag out of MANY.
That's enough to coat a small car when mixed with a clear.

That just might give it the look I'm after. I have a about 3/4 of a gallon of clear and activator left over from a car bumper I painted this summer, and I haven't cleared the stock yet... hmmm... PM inbound!

Got a chance on Thursday afternoon to shoot some groups before the weather shifted. This thing was shooting okay at 15 yards, especially with some Norma 15.9 grain domes. Never tried those before, but did decent. FTT did well, so did the terminators.

Moved the target back to 25 yards and it was all over the place again. IM DONE WITH THIS BS CHINESE BEEMAN BARREL!!!

Going to swap in my kral NP01 barrel. Need to shim the part that goes into the breech by .04" AKA a shim made from soda can. I will try to find a piece of brass tubing that size at my local hobby store first, but soda can will work in necessary.

The next issue will be getting the magazine to lock in. The beeman barrel has a raised section that the mag slips on to and hold it in place. I might be able to find a washer that fits he probe and mag, and just epoxy it in place. Not the best solution, but would work. Other option is drilling a small hole on the breech and under the mags, and using small magnets to hold it in place. If not, I'm fine with single loading at this point.

This will also shorten the OAL by an inch, which is,again, not a bad thing. I'll just have to cut the shroud down to fit, and the rear shroud bushing will need to be opened up 1mm to fit the kral barrel.

Good thing I know a guy who's handy with tools. 😎

Looks good/great I would leave it the color contrast looks good.. love Beagles had them for 40 yrs killed a ton of bunnies with them, had 4 or 5 as house pets and they were excellent hunters same as outside dogs.
She's a big baby lol. Gun shy. Dunno what happened to her before I got her. We found her in the woods, under weight and full of tape worms. She was roughly 4-6 months old, she's pushing 18 YO now.

Both my 1357 and 1358 have BARRA barrels on them. They are in stock and cheap.
I may go that route, but this barrel is here and paid for lol. It's also a known good barrel with multiple pellets out to 35 yards. Also already threaded for 1/2-20 vs using an adapter on the beeman barrel after cutting.

I have a Beeman 2027 and have been trying to find a stock for it.

You said you used a Kral stock and molded it with fiberglass resin.
Can you explain what that means and how you did that?

So I shimmed the kral barrel with 2 sleeves of soda can. It's not 100%, but I think it'll work. I will cut some better ones to fit, and epoxy them together, drill the transfer hole, and epoxy to the barrel. Then I'm going to epoxy the barrel/shim into the breech since I don't see a way to get o-rings in there AND I don't really care if it's permanent. It'll still be easy to clean, and at this point the gun is virtually useless with the stock barrel. If it doesnt shoot straight after this, im selling it lol.

Yes, I had a leftover buttstock from a kral mega. I used the front half of the mega stock and grafted it to a jumbo thumbhole buttstock to make the stock that's on my mega carbine.

I cut it to fit how I liked and then Fiberglass liquid resin filled it together and shaped it to how I wanted it.

I understand how you made the stock.

I do not have fiberglass resin but I have thermoplastic which should work for attaching whatever rifle stock I want to the original Beeman stock.

I will likely 3D print a stock or use a piece of PVC pipe.
Buck rail makes a full tacticool kit for them. Makes it very similar looking to the notos.
