HW/Weihrauch My Venom HW77 Verminter

Refinished the stock with Napier's London Oil, new seals and new Macarri spring. Polished the internals and lubed. Initially shooting JSB 18.13 pellets at 16-16.5 fpe. Super smooth cocking cycle. Not difficult to cock for an old geezer like me. No buzz or twang and a nice light Record trigger. I noticed that the sears were all polished so someone did some work on it.

Next I will start zeroing the scope and shoot some 5 shot strings with various pellets. I imagine the Venom will produce some great results. Some misc photos:

I have a Venom Vantage .177 that's a MK2 with the 25mm tube, and it had the stroke lengthened by about 12mm and a near 4mm transfer port.

Did you happen to notice if yours was as well?

And what size compression tube does yours have? Im assuming 25mm by the serial number.

Another nice one you have there! One of the venom hallmarks, at least on the surface, is an executive brake along with a sticker. I've acquired some steel brakes separately in the past, one be an executive. Rare as hen's teeth now.

I scored one. Wouldn’t be hard to duplicate. Only thing is they will leave marks on your barrel should you decide to remove it.
Also it’s counterbored so the barrel only inserts a short way. Venom chopped the HW77 barrel and recrowned so it wouldn’t be too long. I believe Venom brakes in UK had a small moderator inside.

Been shooting pellets with it. W/O scope. Now time to install the period correct Beeman 66R and get it zero'd. Cocking cycle very smooth. Shoots very smooth too. Will keep everyone posted once I get to shooting some strings with various pellets.
