Chiro no insult intended, it was from lack of knowledge not because I was being disrespectful, I thought the Vulcan was one of the cheaper copies of the Cricket, I have not been keeping up with all of the latest guns being introduced because of my work load. You are correct I do work with a lot of high end guns, but I still agree with you $1600 is still quite a lot for an air gun and is by no means a low end air gun, my apologies for my lack of knowledge on their cost . A $1600 gun I agree should have good quality components on it, but having said that it still makes no difference to how I pay attention to my own gauges, the most important gauge to me is the one on my fill line and not the one on my guns, as I stated previously I personally only use those to gauge when my gun is getting low on air, because some of them vent through the barrel and empty the tube if I allow the air pressure to get too low. I also do not like looking anywhere near the gauge on the gun when it is near the fill fitting as I had a bad experience with a fitting failing, the bearings inside the female quick connector failed,it blew off the gun and gave me a severe wrap on the knuckles, it prevented me from working for a few days. So I try to keep myself as far away from the gun and hose as possible when filling it. As a safety thing it might pay other members to take note of this, when high pressure hoses fail they can be extremely dangerous, mine retained the metal fitting on the end, which when whipped around can cause a lot of damage and in this case it was to my working hand.
I might also ask for a new gauge if I was the owner of a new $1600 gun with a gauge that was that far out, all the best, Neil.
