My Yong Heng compressor setup

I wanted to keep the water and compressor together to make,compact and easier to store.
I built a stand, mounted a bucket and and a pc water cooler. So far it works great.

That heat exchanger is a great idea, does it help much? I have the same compressor, works great for filling a guppy tank or topping off my gun.

It helps, but I realized I should have used a larger one. When refilling my tank from 3000 to 4500psi it's perfect, but filling my scba tank from empty, I needed to add ice to the bucket to keep the water cool.

I don't see why everyone keeps wanting to use a radiator. I have a spare one double the size you've got there from my old water-cooled pc but I don't see the sense in using it when it's faster and easier to just use ice or ice packs in the water. Perhaps if your intention is to fill a 60 minute tank or something. Even then you'd have to hover over the machine to do constant bleeds to keep moisture at bay. 

Maybe I'm wrong and I should look into using mine but it seems to me that ice will work much better and keep things much cooler.

You are probably right, for me I use it in my garage which is located some distance from the house hate the back and forth, so I decided to make it as compact/self contained as possible. Plus it was an excuse to build something.

I keep 2 big pictchers of water in the freezer, and when I fill up a big tank I throw one into the bucket. Otherwise I just use the water in the bucket to fill up my gun.

The pictchers of frozen ice work really well when filling up a 60 minute tank, my temp never even goes into 50 celcius.

That's what I'm preparing for. Got mah Yong Heng and 2.17liter bottle but waiting on the tank fill probe and gun fill whip so I can make use of the bottle. I've got a gallon milk jug of water in my chest freezer turned to ice. I'll be dropping that into my 5 gallon bucket when it comes time to fill. When I filled my Taipan directly I just used ice from my automatic ice maker in my fridge but didn't need much as it filled so quickly, even with my high pressure DIY filter. 

I do agree with a self-contained system though it's just that the heat exchanger / radiator doesn't make sense as ice is faster and gets the water chilled far colder than the heat exchanger ever could.

I want to build or utilize a vertical rack for my setup to take as little footprint in my house/garage as possible. Like they do in Japan when they can't build out, they build UP.

I will be replacing the radiator with a larger one and see how it works out. It's a fun experiment.
I love the compressor, no matter what means we use to cool them , they are well worth it.
I have ordered a larger filter separator to control moisture.

Hey guys is there a MAX temp warning that this pump needs to stay away from? and i'm assuming that the temp gauge is mounted to the cylinder head? Also Mclecato post the link to the Air separator Plz.

Thanks i see you have the 220v model i was wondering what they used to setup the auto shutoff with,if you get to poking around drop me a picture of the device and wiring setup, i have the 110 model coming but auto shutoff would be nice if i can duplicate it for the 110 model

Does this compressor come with American directections or do you just have to figure it out for yourself?

Definitely not good instructions, but it easy to use and figure out. I used the instructions from the web site.

When I have to do any maintenance I will definitely post the pics for you. While the adjustable pressure auto shutoff is a good feature, I find myself paying attention to the gauge because the vibration moves it.

I got mine on Thursday,and love it so far.first 60minute tank took less than 20minutes to fill.3200psi to 4500psi.my next 60minute only took 20minutes also 3100psi to 4500psi
I like your set up.now lets see how long this will last with a little tender loving care.remember oil/cold water/check tempurature

this place is located in Cali but the first pump i got did not work motor did not have enough strength but would run fine with no load, the good thing is they are replacing it with no return so i have been tinkering with it and like i said the only thing that i can figure is that the motor is weak

Are you using an extension cord.
