Never fire up the compressor under back pressure load. Always use an electrical outlet with more than comfortable enough juice preferably off of a dedicated circuit. Proper oil and break in procedures as well as maintenance helps make things last as well as not filling to max pressure which is the major compressor killer unless you like to rebuild things then no problem.
Even If you have the 4 year warranty you might still want to reconsider filling to the max pressure (OR NOT!). Get a good filter too.
The container below has the (mineral) cooling water, black circulation pump inside. The circulation pump, a spot light, and the compressor power supply are all plugged into a simple 3-way power splitter. Flipping its switch activates the water circulation and illumination before the compressor itself is switched on.
The black Airmega is the oil-water separator, 25 bucks from Aliexpress. It came with a desiccant and carbon filter inside. I connected the smaller filter unit that came with the compressor to the Airmega with a high pressure hose. The gun fill ports are attached to that smaller filter.
My main advice: put in hydraulic oil, bleed slowly before switching off, and don't let it run for more than a few minutes at a time -- should be plenty to fill yar gun. Open up the filter and let the media dry for a day after a week of use.
