Mystery leak

Just to be sure you're using the leak check correctly: you can't just spray / brush it on and start looking for bubbles.

I don't like the CRC stuff and don't think it works that well. Mix some Dawn and water and __very liberally__ hose everything down. Now go away for five minutes so the froth you created can die down and the leak can start blowing bubbles.

Anything draining a tank in a day should show up. Don't forget to get *everywhere* a leak could come from: gauges, assembly screws, etc.

After deciding to run over it with a bulldozer and toss it in a large fire
I did some soul searching. This all started with changing the tank pressure gauge.
Is it possible the gauge itself to leak?
I put a balloon on it this morning.

I just finished resealing an early Impact MKI for a friend of a friend. When I received the gun, it was leaking through the vent hole in the receiver near the safety selector. This indicated a problem with o-rings in the AMP regulator. But given the age of the gun and the fact that it had sat for quite a while without pressure in the gun, I decided a complete reseal was the best option. Didn't want to fix the regulator and have another leak spring up somewhere else.
I ordered the Repair Kit for Impact MKI & II (P/N 1982) from Utah Air and watched Ernest Rowe's video on Disassembly of the Impact MKI. I've worked on a few traditional airguns but was always intimidated by the 'complexity' of the Impact. Turns out its no problem, just different.
You can see the condition of the regulator o-rings, brittle! They have a rough life and should be serviced regularly. Most of the o-rings replaced had taken a set and lost their flexibility. They would become leakers soon if not replaced.
Reassembled everything and pressured it up and ........................ no more leak.
I haven't come across a leaking air gage yet but I suppose I will some day. 😁
I'm just north of you in Luther, OK. Let me know if you have questions.

I degassed it to change the gauge last spring. Upon regassing its old orings gave up. So it got a total reseal. And I’ve been chasing this leak ever since. I was about to loose my mind. Can’t believe it’s the new gauge. It just hit me this morning to balloon it.
I've had to replace a few gauges on my inexpensive guns, not for LEAKS but simply because they were no longer reading correctly.

These gauges really are cheap crap but, I'm not yet convinced the expensive ones are any better?
