The is a hole on the left side of the stock near the rear regulator gauge that emits a puff of air on every shot. I understand an o'ring will need to be replaced on some pin. Has anyone else had this issue and did you make the repair yourself? If so, how difficult a replacement was it?

JoeKool's answer is what I experience on both my MK3 and Maverick. Just the movement of the pin during the shot cycle and the pressure exiting the port hole on the side of the breach. Not to worry.

It could be that you are feeling the air displaced by the forward movement of the hammer. That air needs to go somewhere as well, or it would slow down the hammer.
A air arms FTP900 has got this phenomenon as well in a pretty pronounced way.

If my thoughts would be indeed the case, it is a design feature, and not a problem.
The displaced air needs to go somewhere when the hammer is rushing forward, it will escape through that hole.
But in all honesty, if the valve stem would not seal properly, the leaking/escaping air from the valve stem would also bleed through that hole. That's why it is so difficult to judge this effect by reading text.

Earlier guns including Wildcats MKI and MKII have that hole drilled through the block so you have a hole on each side and air could escape on both sides. If your speeds are good, don’t worry. It’s normal.

The speed does seem good and the targets at 30 yards seem reasonable. I will let it go unless it starts blowing my whiskers off. SD is variable from .9 to 4.3 but that is probably another issue.

There is no mystery. The FX tech called back and it is normal for it to puff out the hole. Set up a new out of the box Maverick and it also puffed out the hole.
