Name a decent entry level airgun in the $250- $400 airgun price range. 25 to .30 caliber

Some people do not seem to mind hand pumping. I did it on my Prod and it was fine. Not hard to get to 3000 psi and not many strokes to fill its small tube. But then I bought my Avenger and I really did not like trying to fill it with a hand pump. I usually did not pump it to 300 bar but filling three times the air capacity to 3500 psi or so was still a lot of pumps. But it is totally doable. But at least for me, I was happier hand pumping with a gun that did not store a lot of air and didn't want it at really high pressure. But that means they need filled more often.

Hand pumping at the start gave me two backup hand pumps (one a Benjamin and one a no name that was cheaper and works better). If my YH breaks I will still have a source of air.

If I do any PCP. Even an ASA high power single shot. I will have a 4 stroke hand pump.
I found out 4 stroke pumps often get confused with 3 stroke.
And 4 stroke are far less labrous to thgeir counterpart.

Hatsan Jet 1. 25 caliber. It's been solid from 30 yards and in. That's my backyard limit.

I am loving My Ranger. It has a few drawbacks which @AirShootist mentioned in his Video review. Guage location front of Barrel, fill probe rather than foster fitting, and the only thing I have found on My end is that the design of the Butt on the stock does not seat well on My Rifle Rest. Other than that, no complaints. Easily fires 14.3's at over 1000fps and My 17 and 18's into the 900's. So far so good! Oh, and even just using the BuckRail supressor, it is nice and quiet.
I’m always losing fill probes haha

I just picked up the Stoeger XM1 Scout in that price range. The XM1 ranger is the long barrel option. Has a nice trigger, available in 25, easy to tune, and has been very impressive so far. I have a slightly more expensive Avenge-X in 25 and it hangs with it just fine.
