Hi Joe,
Since you have 2 shots in box 15....you are awarded the lowest of the 2 shots minus 1. Missing the rings yields you a 5 since the lowest ring is a 6...so you would get a 4 on box 15....,but to make things worse, you would get a zero on box 14 since there are no shots in that box.
Does that make sense?
Always make sure you have a shot in every scoring box.
Did you have fun shooting them?
You have some good scores.

I knew it was to good to be true! I need this information for future shoots. Didn’t want 26 shots on record target? I try not to shoot out of the box hahah! It was very fun but challenging.

I know this new competitive league is not meant to be a online type of match, I’m not trying to circumvent the club matches but until I start ours or other clubs in the state add National 50 matches I will post here until our season kicks off. Hopefully continuing to draw interest locally.

No worries, Joe. Things will take some time to get rolling for everyone. We are happy to see people shooting the format even if it is just practice. It’s always good to get feedback.

I don't get the zero for box 14. Wouldn't you score a -10? I thought the center was zero, next ring -1, etc. All scores subtracted from 250 to get final card score?

I was very confused for a minute looking at the wrong target
thinking that is a hole in 14? And I can’t see 2 holes in 15? Hah! Looks fun! I wish they did more 50 yard, it’s such an enjoyable event and much more difficult than some people think, the buzz around here is its difficult and time consuming to score, which I get, but the buddy or squad score yourself system seems to work well and is very fast. Great shooting BTW

What is the -1 for in box 15? Is the -1 a penalty for having 2 holes inside of the box?
Since there were no holes in box 14 count he have gone back and shot that again if there was time left on the clock?

Got that, but when you hit the 10 ring you score 0, hit the 9 ring you get a -1, the 8 ring a -2, etc. You then total your score for that row and subtract it from the 50 total you could have made. Therefore a complete miss should count as -10. If you hit all the other 10 rings in that row your score would be 30 (4 10's and a -10 for missing target). Correct, or am I missing something?
Joe has used the -1 scoring for hitting his 9 rings, so that seems to be the method of scoring used here.

The -1 is for hitting the 9 ring. The penalty for having 2 shots in one box is to take the lowest score of the two and subtract 1 point.
Yes, he should have gone back and shot at the missed box #14. He will be penalized for no shot in the box (-10), so take another shot and at least make points for that box.

When you hit the 10 ring ..,you get a 10.
When you hit the 9 you get a 9. Its really that simple.
If you find it easier to call a 10 a 0, and a 9 a -1 ...then subtract those amounts from 250...that’s ok. It works out to the same score as if you just added up the actual ring points to get a total.

If the .350 scoring plug touches the center dot is that scored as an X or does the dot have to be completely hidden under the plug to qualify for an X?

In pellet class...the dot must be completely covered for a X.
In slug/rimfire it must touch the dot for an X.

That’s pretty good on the vertical plane. Have you tried a windicator or two to help gauge wind velocity?

I know I should pick one up,It really shows up @ 50yds. I should have used all 4 of my proper flags also.
