There is a person selling a used Size 16” x 4.3” 100 cu in Air Venturi tank for $320. Is this a good deal? Also, how many fill ups can i get out of a tank this size? My aea terminator takes around 25mpa of air each time. Sorry, im a newb.

used, sounds like a smallish tank, probly get a new one for that .. dont know your gun, a good rough guestimate is visualise how many of your guns tanks would fit inside the fill tank ...

You will likely only get about 3-4 fill ups out of that bottle on that rifle. It would be good for a short shooting trip or hunting trip but I would suggest a larger bottle like a 74 or 88 if you plan to do any more shooting than that.

Make sure what size works for you, then be patient and keep looking. Lots more fills from a big bottle, Small is handy.

100 cu in isn’t going to go very far. For a first tank / primary air source it isn’t a good option in my opinion. Buy the 74 cu ft tank.

More like zero re-fills. Using the AoA calculator page, an 88 cubic foot tank filled to 4500 psi will only give you 2.6 complete fills if you have the dual 1700 cc volume tanks, refilling from 1800 to 3600 PSI on this gun. From 2200 to 3600, you will one more fill at 3.1 fills.
The AEA website says the operating pressure is 2200 to 3500 psi. I don't know if that means you want to refill at 2200 or not or how low you can go with full velocity. If the OP has the latest gun that has dual cylinders (one 700 and one 1000 cc cylinder) totaling 1400 with 2x 700 or 1700 ccs volume with the 1K and 700k, depending on which configuration you ordered. What I was not able to find is the compressed air capacity of that 100 cubic inch VOLUME tank but it is tiny compared to the 88 cubic foot compressed air capacity tanks which have a VOLUME of 550 cubic inches, more than TEN TIMES the internal volume of that 100 cc. (Remember the volume numbers are not compressed air capacity!)
Agreed. The 74 cu ft is probably the smallest you would want for this gun as you might not even get two fills off a 74 cubic foot tank if you are refilling at 1800 up to 3600 psi with the dual 1700 cc combined volume cylinders. Filling from 2200 to 3600 on the 74 would give you about 2.6 fills.
As a comparison with an 80 cubic foot tank, filling the 1700 ccs from 2200 to 3600 psi for a 500 cc cylinder will give almost 9.5, almost 10 refills. With a 74 cu ft tank, 8.8 fills.
I would get the biggest tank(s) I could justify the cost for, keeping in mind that I would have to lug them to the range and back. particularly if I was paying to fill it. But of course I would not even consider paying to fill a tank that large that would be empty in less than 3 fills. I would be filling it myself. If I had that gun, I would probably buy several used 60 min / 88 cu ft SCBA tanks at $50 to $90 each rather than a single 100 cu ft at $700 to $800 each.

Used scba tank 4500 psi on eBay used 30 min 45 min around $70.00 with shipping. Small bottles don't give many fills.

I stand corrected. The AEA I have is the smaller single bottle so I was basing it off that. I must have glanced over the model he had and just went off my own assumption. It would act as a little boost for bench shooting I guess but you are correct. Thanks

Welcome. Still no word from the OP on which tank sizes they have. What caliber AEA do you have and what is the capacity? I am very interested in a 35 cal semi auto but wish they had at least a 20 round, preferably 30 mags!

Mine is the .30 HP Carbine. Fun rifle to shoot. I know with the fill pressures even though the bottle is a 3600psi they do not recommend filling above 3000 so maybe that is also part of the info you saw on the fill pressures. They will lock the valve out at that pressure and cannot shoot. I am planning to move mine soon but been fun to shoot.

What is the total air bottle / cylinder capacity of your gun? Have you shot it enough to know the ideal refill pressure level? How many shots do you get per fill?
