I'm not a huge fan of electronic rifles, but I own a Red Wolf and it has been trouble free and extremely accurate. I am an even less enthusiastic fan of FX rifles forward of the Boss/Royale platform. A Royale 400 in .22 would be a very good option for you. Of your two options, I believe the Red Wolf is the better choice. There is nothing to adjust, and it has fewer mechanical parts to maintain. If the control board dies you have a $2K paper weight, but the warranty is good, and it is a well tested design that has proved to be reliable.

Owning a Impact M3 and I have owned Daystates in the past, to me there is very little comparison between the two brands. I know many will disagree BUT...
The customization and over all personalization you can accomplish with an FX rifle especially the Impact is unmatched by anything else out there. There are so many after market accessories and add ons for the Impact its crazy. The daystate I owned was not a Redwolf, nor was it on the same level as my Impact. If you want to get it and do no tuning or customization then you probably would be better off with the Daystate. If tinkering, tuning, customizing and personalization are up your ally then I would go Impact all the way.
Both are very good straight out the box but to me the Impact is just to much fun to tune up and play with. Mine is tuned purely for stugs and will put out consistent dime groups at 100yds and Quarter size at 200yds. Not to mention the skeletal look of the rifle is just badass LOL and yes I am rather Bias, but just my two cents...

"If the control board dies you have a $2K paper weight, but the warranty is good, and it is a well tested design that has proved to be reliable." NOT TRUE. You can get OEM replacement boards from AOA and you can get a Heliboard (aftermarket and programmable from the rifle for $300).

I have a Redwolf .22HP, super accurate, quiet, best trigger, very comfortable to shoot. Turn down the power and a lighter pellet, accuracy and shots into the hundred+. Full Power with 70+

I don't own an FX, I looked into them when I first started this journey and discounted them based on several factors.

Being a new air gunner, I would be looking more for something with good support, over other features. Both guns are stellar, but daystate/brocock isn’t known for having good support. FX has stellar support both by dealer, and FX USA. There’s also a superior wealth of knowledge here for the impact purely based on the number of people on here that have owned one. That would be my choice purely on support. If I was new, I wouldn’t want something that I couldn’t get help with if something happened, or for tuning.

I didn't mean to imply that you couldn't get parts, including the board, just that a failure there would require an expensive fix. That said, most of the board repairs or replacements that I have seen reported were the result of owner damage rather than a failure, but a fix is nevertheless required. As in autos, electronics have proven much more reliable than mechanicals.

I agree 100%, and for support FX stands head and shoulders above Daystate, IMO. I say that based on personal experience with both brands.

Everyone should have at least one electronic Daystate IMO. 🍻 If you want an FX rifle for bench-rest, that compares favorably with the Red Wolf, my recommendation would be a Crown. BTW, the Crown was my first rifle and I own an electronic Daystate Air Wolf MCT as well.
My frist gun was a crown love that gun, next and final will be a daystate alfa wolf safari in 177 and 30 call

AOA has taken care of any issue with the Brococks or Daystate, most were self inflicted (Bi-Pod was loose and collapsed and the Bantam fell off a table, groups opened WAY up and set it to AOA for repair. Right back to where it had been.

Something to think about, if you don't hear people complaining or talking about issues then maybe there aren't as many to worry about. The Delta Wolf had issues and have been resolved (As Far As I Know).
