I need to replace the shroud cone from the transfer port assembly on my FX crown due to stripped theads I am trying to figure out how to remove the old one . It appears to be either threaded on or pressed on . Any information is appreciated and thank you in advance .

Crown mk1 or mk2? I think you are referring to just the barrel shroud itself ? The tapered cone part on the breech end ? If so I believe that piece is just threaded on. Might just take a little umph to initially break it loose. This is how my original crown mk1 was. Not positive if the mk2 is the same.

Some are fairly tight. I use a rubber strap wrench to hold the cone end and turn the shroud by hand, and it will eventually come off. There's no loctite (at least not on mine), so no heat needed there.
Now if you need to remove the xfer port from the cone, it is loctited and you will need some mild heat to break it loose. You can use a piece of leather and vise grips on the port housing, up close to the cone. I heat it several seconds and then clamp on and remove it. It doesn't take much heat or very long at all.

It is definitely threaded and it is bonded with some sort of thread locker where it attaches to the transfer port end. I absolutely could not get mine to come free without destroying it. I finally gave up and ordered another one from Utah. It wasn’t very expensive and solved my problem.

One such file is a tool to remove the Crown’s shroud cone.
If you know someone with a 3D printer, they can print you the tool for future use.

If'in it's on the super light barrel then mount the thread assembly the black cone shaped attachment that the brass transfer port is mounted to, load in vice use vice grips on stainless steel section. unscrew it separates there keep in mind it's loctite
