I need the right seal for this male insert. One was not on it when I bought it & I’ve made due.

I just for the 1st & last time paid $15.95 for a fill on a 30 min bottle. I’ll be buying a second hand pump or Yong Heng until I save for Alkin.

Right now, I have a guy coming from 1/2 way across State to try my rifles. I need a quick fix & the correct part as soon as possible. I know who deals with this in air gun world but I’m asking for information like McMaster Carr, Grainger, or hardware store for now.

Any advice, info appreciated on exact seal needed

The very tip of the probe going into the bottle should have a very small white nylon nib inserted in it. Scott, or any fire equipment supplier should have it

You can have a, or make it with 1/2 or slightly thinner nylon sheet and a hole punch to size of the fitting cut out. Drill a 1/16 hole in the center. Make it a bit thick so that it crushes properly. It should take care of the issue.

Thank you guys very much. I see the picture posted & my holes are closer to threads bottomed out & they’re angled.

I’m getting a new bigger tank anyway but thanks to all because the moron at dive shop insisted there should be no seal. The problem is used tanks with unmatched fill set ups sometimes run into this. I’m done with that BS, finally caved & bought a really good high end compressor. Looking to get set up for anything be it my personal use, a big bore monster in any caliber. Heck, I use to not shoot on higher power as I had one tank, a Hill, & dependent on dive shop. I don’t mind if I buy a dump valve for a build now. Woo who!

That "Moron" is correct. You have a WRENCH TIGHT cga347 (as noted by the flats on your nut) which uses NO SEAL. If you had a HAND TIGHT CGA347 it would have a small seal on the end.

That "hole" in your threads is a safety relief in case someone were to attempt to remove the fitting with the valve open. This hole will allow the air to escape thru the hole instead of blowing the fitting off the last couple threads.
