Other Need Opinion: FX Impact M3 or Daystate Red Wolf HP

I want to sincerely thank everyone for their advice. AGN is such a great platform. You've all given me some great advice and I'll take it all into consideration. The M3 is a custom build by Utah Airguns so it should be setup perfectly. The Daystate should simply be out of the box awesome.
The M3 has more versatility which will require tuning. If the Daystate will be more of a long bench gun then I don't think that's what I'm ultimately looking for. I do believe I would be happy with either one. Your responses to my post have given me your real world experience with each platform. Now I just have to make a decision before they get sold haha
Thank you all again!!

The readwolf would do either tbh. If its an HP then can go from long range with pellets or slugs (yes some like slugs youve just got to find which one it likes) and you said it was a slugger. Some use 22 for field target, though 177 or 20 is preferred because of flatter trajectory. The beauty of it is once you have it set where you want, you can switch between presets easily.

I have a FX Maverick 700mm Sniper and the Red Wolf HP, both in .22 caliber. They both shoot well, didn't tune either, they just shoot as well as I want them to. The Red Wolf goes though more air on HP which equals less shots, around 40 shots where as the FX will get around 100 with the power wheel on 7. Both shoot 1/2" or less groups at 50 yards depending on what I'm feeding them. My suggestion would be buy a Red Wolf, you'll be happy with the simplicity and accuracy.

I have or have had 3 Impacts, two Crowns, two Dreamlines and a Wildcat MK3(same as Maverick). Also two Daystate Reveres. Along with 6 different RAWS. No, I don't own most of these anymore. Of the FXs, the Maverick/Wildcat is probably the easiest to tune and has considerable power potential. My Impact MK3 has way too many adjustment features; more than necessary and easier to screw up. As others have suggested, I would consider a Daystate Red Wolf, but if you don't want to get into the electronic tuning stuff, consider a Wolverine, which has the mechanical trigger and the same barrels and power of the Red Wolf. AOA has them on sale at the moment. Me? I would buy another RAW through airguns-usa.com. That way, you can choose what caliber and stock that you prefer and have Martin set it up for you. That's going to be my next gun. BTW, the RAWs are a bit cheaper and are bulletproof with the best trigger in the business.

Thanks again everyone!! I went with the Red Wolf in walnut from a fellow AGNer. Should be at my door soon 😁

I was not aware of that!! Good to know!!

I'm looking to buy one of these rifles. The M3 I'm looking at is a beautiful, custom Utah Airguns 22 cal with nice options and set up to shoot slugs. The Red Wolf is also setup as a 22cal slug shooter. I've never held either rifle before. The Red Wolf is only slightly more money so not a huge difference when spending 2 grand.

I have an FX Maverick in 25cal and so far, tuning has not been my strong suit. I had it tuned by FX USA in the spring so I'm very happy with it for now. So, I imagine the Impact would feel quite similar.

Since I don't have any experience with either the Impact or the Red Wolf I'd really like to hear from you guys. Currently, I'm a backyard plinker but I enjoy precision shooting. I can only get out to 50yds so 2" steel targets can get boring. I typically shoot targets 1" and smaller. I'm hoping to do some shooting next year with my new neighbor where we can easily get out over 100yds.

So, what do you guys think? I'd love to hear your opinions on which you would choose!!
With everything going on I wouldn’t rely on any FX warranties and you’ll probably need them, haven’t had an FX gun and I’ve had roughly 20 off and on for marketing that didn’t need to go to a tech for a bit.
