Need Some CO2 Pistol Advice...

Have a fishing customer of ours that wants to carry a CO2 gun with him for snakes and such while he is spring time fishing here in Texas. Know what the Crosman 22xx platform offers but was wandering about other models that might be easier to carry and maneuver in tight quarters and multi shot capabilities if the power is right.

Hello one option is a Crosman 600 10 shot semiautomatic 22 cal can be tuned to around 450 fps I believe Mac1 airguns still tunes these guns. The only drawbacks are they are pricy and a little heavy other than that it might be a good choice , well good luck Eric.

I would go with a six-shot revolver,ones I know would be the S& W 586,Colt Peacemaker,Dan Wesson and get the shorter barrel.A lot of good CO2 revolvers are made by Umarex=Walther,,,all use the same round magazine, these are renamed,like Colt,S&W,Beretta,etc.

Look up the Crosman vigilante.Very accurate and inexpensive. Mine shoots around 420 ft./s.It’s a lightweight revolver.

For snakes? I compact revolver in 38 Spl with shot shells.

I have a Gamo PR 776 8 shoot magazine revolver in .177caliber. fps 430. 6 inch barrel. Mine shoots inside 1 1/2 inches at 30 feet. When i bought mine. I paid 100.00 plus 10.00 to have it tested from Pyrmayd Air.

I just picked up an Umarex Brodax revolver. 10 shot capacity, comes with 3 mags, under $50. Good double action pull, great single action pull.

Pellets would probably be a better option for vermin. The Brodax takes same mags as the Umarex Colt Python which has pellet mags but they’re hard to find in stock right now.

Umarex is pretty light and size wise close to a 3” Ruger LCRx so an easy pocket carry.
