Need some quick sight help

Good Morning,

I Live in Germany but am temporarily in Tucson.

I want to put a globe front sight on my RWS 48 using something like Lipski's barrel band base.

Unfortunately the rifle is in Konstanz on the Bodensee and I can't measure the diameter of the barrel. Can anyone make a measurement and post it here?

Any other recommendations for a front sight base?

I already have an Anschutz rear on the rifle/

Long way from home! I like globes a lot. Enjoy your stay in America. Hopefully someone gets you that measurement

Airguns of Arizona (the biggest airgun retail store in the states) is an hour and a half up the road from Tucson. They probably have a 48 on the shelf they could measure. Plus you'd get to see all kinds of other cool stuff  

I don't have a D48 or I'd be glad to help. Sorry.

I measured the entire diameter at the end. I didn’t measure where the flat area is ground in the barrel to help hold the site on. If you need anything else, just ask. I bought mine new around 18 years ago if the age matters.

I need the diameter of the barrel without the sleeve the sight is mounted on.
