Firstly, I shoot PCP's. Had a Benjamin magnum springer 5 years ago. couldn't control it to my satisfaction and went down the PCP hole. Who here cares? I know, however one of my associates does have a springer gun giving him issues. It's a bear River TPS 1200 I'm guessing from it's stock design, definitely not a 1300. I was told there were accuracy issues that recently came to light. After asking a few questions , found that neglect was most likely issue. I took the gun home and immediately cleaned the totally fouled barrel. tried to shoot using the package 4x32 scope which is too low mag for my blind ass. I changed scopes with my zero tech and managed some groups in spite of the 3 plus pound trigger. I think the gun is a bit rough, was looking to suggest another, but he is stingy with the coin.
now I naturally began researching these style guns and gravitated towards the TX200 models as well as the weihrach HW95 field pro. Also know beeman R9 is no joke either. Unfortunately, I feel they may be too rich for his comfort. Are their good guns in the $250 range so with a decent scope, be sitting at $350-$375?
Preferably with a 2 pound trigger pull.
