If you could show pictures of WHERE check valve is needed (or describe specifically) you might get the info from others as well.

I am asking this because I am tired of watching the pressure rise then shut off my compressor before i can open the valve on the bottle. I have a vent valve on my fill whip and I have a vent valve on my pump so why can't i use a one way valve inline so I can open my tank and not hurt the pump...

I built one of these one way valves about a month ago and installed in the output of my filter. It worked as intended for topping off tanks but my compressor (GX CS4-i) then ran much hotter than normal. There was no obvious cause and effect relationship but the heating problem went away when the valve was removed from the system. Perhaps my one way valve was posessed by a mutant Maxwell's Demon.
