Hammer? Who needs a hammer when you can have Jets! o_O

I'm shooting .22 25g Hades Monsters at 865 FPS and the AEA 22g at 900 FPS with great accuracy!

Was contemplating getting the external reg for a while but seeing as my first gen has has zero problems. I’m going to leave it be. I did swap jets just a few days ago and now getting better efficiency, it’s quieter and lost zero FPS even though the jets went up in size.
Long live the Leshiy 2 . What an awesome hunting rig they are.

What caliber, size Jets, reg pressure, and velocity are you running?

25 cal, 350mm barrel, 130 bar regulator, 2 x .8 jets and a 480cc bottle. That gets me 840 FPS shooting 25.4 kings . I’m gonna say 8 mags on the regulator. But that’s just a guess. I also have a 500 mm original smooth twist barrel that adds another 80 to 90 fps although it’s not used much. I would do a full string but with the price of pellets these days, you know the rest. I really need to cast up some ammo soon. Just haven’t been feel motivated as we’re still winter here.

That confirms what I’ve been told. That the L2 was designed as a 30 caliber. Meaning the porting is all 30 caliber. Making the 25 and 30 caliber the most efficient, and 22 caliber the least efficient as the porting needs to be constricted down to 22 caliber. I have to run .4 jets and the reg at 150b to get the same amount of power as your 25.

That sounds about right. I wasn’t aware of the design for .30cal. I’m pretty sure this can be cranked up to 70 fpe quite easily in .25. Not that I’m going to try. Nothing quite like double tapping grouse from 50 yards. Just wish there was a chronograph that would catch the second shot. I’m waiting for the new Athlon Chrony to be released , I’m currently still using a shooting Chrony Beta. Works well but it’s pretty temperamental with the lighting and muzzle position.

Perhaps one of the newer Doppler chronographs will catch a double tap?

I decided that the point .4 jets were causing too much low back. I just changed to the .5 jets and I’m shooting the 22 grain pellets at 885 FPS with my reg set at 142. It’s much quieter now.

that should still give you a good amount of shots per fill I would imagine. Even filing from 250 bar. How big is the bottle you have ?

It’s much more efficient now, I can just tell by the muzzle report. I’ve got the 300cc 300b bottle

I like the Leshiy2 very much, it is an impressive engineering. I invested some time effort and energy studying it to the smallest details and I can comfortably shoot with it as it would be a target gun.
My L2 is in .22x500 configuration. I have .25 barrels and liners but never tried this cal yet more into details. The .22 works just fine for me in any games.
I am dual purposing between my backyard property protection and my gun range.
2x0.8 jets, 78 bars on REPR, 16gn Hades @ 750 fps gives me at least 14 or 15 mags and power is plenty for shooting up between the branches.
The same 2x0.8 jets, 115 bars, 22 gn HN @ 860 gives me I think 8+ mags for the 22RL range with silhouettes.
I have the shot counts for 25gn MRD's as well on my other PC, cannot recall the numbers at the moment.
I was playing with MRD's extensively in previouse years, I don't see a significant difference in performance to 22gn Baracuda's on the N50 rings - up to 50 M/y. In a decent day the MRD's can still impress up to 70 M/y but not an inch further.
I have not tried the new project MRD's yet, still winter at my place.

I was unaware they made a 500mm barrel. I thought they only offered 250, 350, 450, 600.

Back in the yonder years before crazy trade restrictions on Russia, you could buy a lot of non-standard barrels for the Edgun Leshiy 2 directly from a Russian manufacturer on e-bay. It wasn't officially Edgun, maybe just an employee with a side-hustle.

Nice setup! I'm jelly of your Stalker. They were unobtainable by the time I tried to get one. I've run a few different scopes 1-10x, aimpoint and now 3-24x. They're all fun, but this gun really shines (IMO) in light weight configs.

I’m running with a Primary arms 5 x 36 prism. Kinda cobbled together on a QD mount on top of a cantilever. It holds zero just fine even if I take it off. BDC reticle is for .223/.308 PB but with some practice I’ve been able to work with it. Zero at 30 yards I’m good out to 75. Really wanted the Stalker but this is as close as I could find with decent glass and have some eye relief unlike the big magnification prism sights.

The eye relief - I feel the pain I've been there. I tried many frankenstein mounts available on the market.
But have you ever thought about, it is not a problem with the "short" upper rail but with the LOP is way too long? You can get a creek in the neck reaching to eye box.

Back in time I almost bought the shorter air tube from Spain, but the shipping cost to Canada was a deal killer. So I ended up sourcing a re-cut to my local CNC lathe shop. I see the EU prices skyrocketed lately. Not sure, maybe worth to ask Brian at EdgunWest he may have these as well?

I shortened the air tube for 40 mm (was 135mm and now 95mm) and the LOP now is just perfect, Also the scope is mounted much more friendly.
