New .177 Benjamin Match Grade 10.5 Gr pellets VS AA 10.3 Gr pellets

same here, i cant figure out how a 10.5 benji can fly 60fps slower than a 10.3 jsb, surely 0.16 of a grain couldn't make that much of velocity change, out of curiosity what rifle were you shooting them through?

Went through 3 tins and all were 10-25 fps slower in my Brocock Atomic XR measuring with a FX Pocket Radar.

As usual it's different from gun to gun. My most accurate .177 is a Katran, which shoots pretty darn hot, at almost 20fpe, shoots Benjamin Single Die better than almost anything else. It is not the least pellet fussy, so the difference is small indeed, but whether it's conditioning my mind, or what, but I shoot better with them. I use AA and JSB 10.3gr also, and like them, but I'll take the BSD every time so far. Maybe the harder alloy is better for higher velocities, but my R10 also shoots them very well also, and it is a good 100fps slower.

I'd love to try some of the BSD in .22 and see if they are as good in my .22's.

Anyone has the BC on these pellets?

EDIT: Found it. "In HAM testing, we found a Ballistic Coefficient of 0.033."

That's pretty good, might have to give them a try.

I had larger groups from the Benjamin match at 50 yards in the wind than I had from JSB. Kind of like when I tried the QYS pellets. They are very good and hold tight groups right out of the tin, but my rifles had a tough time holding tighter groups with any wind. They tend to deflect more in the wind from my testing. Indoors I can put the QYS in the same tiny hole but not in the wind. Your results may be different than mine.

Interesting, according to hard air mag the BC is 0.033 which is higher than the BC of 0.029 of jsb 10.3 pellets. That is rather disappointing.

Do they honestly differ from the single die 1250
count BOXED pellets we once were able to purchase ?
I'm still sitting on @ 4 boxes of 10.5's in .177 and use them slowly in our FT club loaner rifle. They shoot excellent !!

I said something like that at another forum and the Benji rep guy straighten me out on how inferior crosmans are vs these Benji match. There totally above reproach / next best thing to magical one hole every shot .. lol.
