New .25 FX Wildcat, hole in air tube-WTF!?

"Spash"Could it be the venting hole for the regulator?
Meaning that the regulator has a problem?
Yep, it is the regulator vent. The o-ring is damaged or faulty. Definitely a bummer mmoscarma. But, it is quickly fixable by a trained hand.

*edit: After posting the way I thought the o-ring should be replaced, I did a little digging and found out that my way was not the best way. FX will be posting details re: the workings of the regulator vent very soon.

I'm contacting them right now. Johan from FX also contacted me with instructions should I want to fix it myself with new o-rings.
Both my father and myself and delt with AOA for years...no worries there. Good news is it looks pretty straight forward to not only change out the o-rings but replace the reg. as well.

Again, thank you all for the support...love this forum! :)

Pshoooter,

It is an airgun. There are lots of airguns, with differences and similarities in both shape and internal design. Nothing revolutionary was promised about the Wildcat.

My suggestion to all shoooters, regardless of whether they are buying FX, Daystate, Weihrauch, Air Arms etc etc.....is to wait six months .....which is usually time enough to allow manufacturers time to do their usual fixes as notified by the "guinea pigs" (sorry everyone, but experience tells me this is what we are if we are among the first to buy) ......then decide whether to buy.
