New 6.8l CF tank fill whip seal?

I just bought a new 6.8l CF tuxing tank and this valve adapter/fill whip https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09D7QC7K9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details . Common sense tells me that I should put one of those plastic seals behind the fill whip valve, but nowhere in the instructions does it state this. Am I supposed to put a seal in there?

Ok, I'm officially confused, my normal state BTW, I'm trying to figure out the pathing, I see the inlet, possibly used an outlet unless a check valve is there, I see the foster for outlet. The main shut off and maybe shut offs for the out-foster??

Also in the review one supposed expert blew up a airgun because he cranked the valve open half way. I'm going to guess he didn't use a micro bore line from the tank.

I have one that looks the same. Got it off Amazon. It flows FAST!! Crack that valve and the air gushes out - I'm not sure a microbore hose on its own is enough restriction. I put a female foster fitting on the valve where the hose attaches, with an internal restriction to slow things down some, and use a microbore hose and it still flows faster than the JoeB slo-flo valve on my guppy . . . .

The male foster fitting is a one-way flow fitting for filling the tank. No need to flow it through the hose unless you need the vent to release line pressure.

Watching the Amazon video in your link, it shows a small seal of some kind in the bag. Was that seal not in the bag ?
It comes with a baggie with what looks like 3 "replacement" seals. A tank o-ring, an o-ring for inside the quick disconnect coupling, and a plastic one for the bleed screw fitting. You'd think that it would have come with an additional one or two for the whip if it is supposed to have one.

Unless the male thread on the hose is an NPT or a BSPT. In that case, all that’s needed is some thread tape, 1 1/2-2 wraps and tape should not overhang the end of the male fitting.

Update
So I tried to tighten the fill whip by itself (no seal) and it leaked. Tried it with one of the white plastic seals, and it leaked. Had a heck of a time getting the seal back out... Tried with just Teflon tape, which seemed to work just fine with no leaks. For the price, this gauge/valve set functions very well. Much better than the one that came with my air venturi wingman 100 tank.
