New Acquisition - Crosman Mark 1

Today I received a used vintage Crosman Mark 1 I picked up from the classifieds.

I know rifles are more accurate, but pistols are more fun. I really enjoy these vintage pistols and look forward to continuing to build to the collection.

I really didn't know much about these pistols, but a quick search showed that it is still a well respected pistol. The condition looked pretty good and the price was very competitive compared with eBay asking prices and it appeared to have all the features of the earliest models.

I am most pleased with this very early serial #:

Nice find, way back when I was a young man, my Dad let me buy one like that but with a longer barrel.... Shotbit for many years, even at junior competitions at camp perry back in the 60's. When I got into high school decided to move into rimfire and sold my Crossman pistol. About 20 years lster I ran across an article about those vintage pistols. It said that a limited number were made with a longer barrel for competition shooting that were availiable thru Crossman only....hmmmm... I have no idea how a big box store got there hands on a long barrel but that is where I bought mine, it was the only one they had left in the store. I had no idea how rare it was when I sold it, if I did, I woukd still have it.....wish I could go back in time !!!
