Other New Additions to the Replica collection

Started out focusing on western replicas but decided to go a bit further. These are the two latest additions. Quite impressed with the Dan Wesson 715.

Nice. Is the weight/balance on par or just the looks?
The weight on both are very close to the actual guns. Especially the Dan Wesson at 2.3 lbs. The grips are apparently made by Hogue and fits very well in the hand. I just got that one yesterday, so test shot at 7yds for grouping with several different pellet styles and managed to pull 3/4 inch groups. I don't really like the pic rail under the barrel, but I wanted the 4 inch which comes with it.
The Walther PPQ M2 is very nice as well. Accuracy is decent but takes getting used to. It has a 21 round belt fed magazine which is rotated via trigger action, so 1st stage is a little grainy which loosens up with time. And the belt is a little pellet picky. Some pellets cause the belt to stop moving or not turn at all, so it's trial and error findings ones that work well.
So far, outside of the western replicas, the best ones as far as accuracy and build quality are the Dan Wesson 715 and the Beretta 92 FS (which is 100% German made).

This post cost me about $200! AoA had a Baretta 92FS used at a good price, and I love pistols. So, thanks? ;-) Cheers! Rick
That's awesome! Which one did you get? I definitely got bit by the bug this winter. Up to six pistols so far as well as the cowboy rifle. I've been enjoying getting back into pistol training. You'll enjoy that Beretta.

The standard blueing (not the nickel) with walnut grips. I'll post a picture when I get it.

>> and the Beretta 92 FS …

Another thumbs up for the Beretta !

For anyone with a Beretta m92 ...

These pictures show the wear on the loading ramp after only around 200 shots with steel BBs.
Only the right side is shown here but the same wear is seen on the left side of the ramp as well.
This does not bode well for longevity, at least not with steel ammo.
Maybe lead BBs would fare better, if they don't jam the gun. Something to try.
For now I'll restrict this to AGS plastic BBs, at least they won't damage the ramp any further.

For comparison:
I examined my Springfield Armory 1911 for similar wear and found nothing, even though it has seen a lot more use (with all steel BBs).
Not sure if it has a shallower ramp angle.

That sucks. Luckily I have the 92 FS. Pellet version, rotary magazine.
