New AEA SLUGS

I messed with the tune a little and it is what it is. For giggles I put a little Mobile 1 on 10 slugs to see what would happen. A BIG FAT ZERO.....as in no change what so ever. The thud from the slugs on my steel trap is pretty darn solid, not sure how hard the lead is. Hoping to get out next week and see if some ground squirrels are out and about for some practical testing. I suppose I could ask for a gray squirrel volunteer but the Mrs. would do me bodily harm.
I hear ya, they have a nice hollowpoint, but they do seem to be harder, not sure how hard though. Let us know your results when you hit game!

No, I haven't tried any of those nor tried to make any. What else would I need because that cast mold to make slugs?
A melting pot and a ladle. I find the bottom pour pots leak, or tend to clog. Get some pure lead and a stout stick to knock off the sprue. Don't wear synthetic fabric while casting. It will melt or burn if lead splashes on it. Jeans or cotton is fine. Some folks wear gloves, I don't. Casting isn't difficult. Definitely brings down your ammo costs if you can find the right mold that your guns like.

Thanks for the info, sounds like something that I could do once I move out of my apartment complex get my own house.

I shot them out of my .22 king and I personally liked them very much. I am running a 700mm barrel and it has been shooting the Altaros .40 grn slugs with laser beam accuracy so I really didn't expect to be blown away but I was very pleasantly surprised. I shot out to 200 yds and I will definitely be buying more.

How fast are you running them? And how glod are they grouping that far

I'm gonna have to give these a try in my new King .25 600mm! Ordering some today for sure!
Sweeet! Remember they have to weights, also the nags are deep but not too deep on the AGT. The biggest slugs I can fit in my .22 is the 36gr and in my buddies .30 I can fit the 50gr JSB slugs but not the Hybrids so keep that in mind.
Although if I remember correctly the 44 and 46gr slugs fit fine in the vulcan 3 .25

I should have specified it's the FX King!
And these mags are I believe 13mm deep.
So almost a half inch length will fit! Also looking at some Griffin boat tails to give a try 🤔

AEA Long Range Master slugs, these must be brand new, in .22, .25 and .30

Anyway you could measure the length of the .22 cal?

I started messing with the AEA .25 49,2 gr out of my Raptor. OMG they make a serious racket hitting my steel trap/ backstop, 90 ft #'s Sadly, I can't get any real consistency. I've burnt through almost a tin of them and a LOT of air. I could tell I was pumping too much air out so.....I'm going to buy a few more tins and take my time to see if they'll work. I really want to smack ground squirrels with a sledge hammer.

Slow them down?

I've been looking at those also.
Could you measure the length for me?
I'm wondering if they will fit my mags.
