I bought a new avenger and after degassing I was ready to full to adjust regular. I hooked up my compressor with a quick connect and attached to the nipple. Sat for 5 min with it running and both gauges have not moved at all. When I disconnect the hose air is indeed running. There are no leaks at quick connect to ripple. So i have no idea where the air is going. Please help I have no idea what to do and really want to start using my new toy

You can try cocking the gun before you fill it, this may allow the valve to close so that the gun takes air.

Make sure the bleed valve is closed on your compressor and avenger, cock the gun, and try to refill again.

Alright so cocking gun didn't work. Bleed valves were both closed on gun and compressor. Let it run for 5 min and neither regulator or tank gauge moved at all.

Not sure if this helps, but I have to give the Avenger tank a shot from my SCBA tank first to get some air in there. Then I can use the compressor. The compressor output is too slow to open the one-way valve in Avenger tank. If you have access to an air tank, you might see if that's the issue.

Sounds like a leak before the fill valve. I had this problem. Changed Whip and there were no more leaks. Gun filled, no problem.. Id you check the bleed valve and air intake vales to be sure they were both closed?

Both valves were closed. What do you mean by whip? Like return it and get a new one? If I must then I must but I'm hoping I don't have to send it back. I'm in Canada and the only dealer that I was able to get it from was in quebec and it was super hard to converse with them. Ugh.

I can maybe go see some folks at the medigas place nearby that deal with compressors and air tanks and such. They will have something to shoot in air faster to see if it works

Indeed that was covered a few posts back. This does sound like it needs good slug of air to seat the valve. Let's hope that is the case. Dead empty is not a normal condition for airguns.

I find that Im 50:50 with air guns taking air without leaking past the valve a bit even cocked. Pressure seats and seals them so as already posted, a SCBA tank will do you wonders in filling dead empty guns.

The Whip is the Filling Hose you use between the compressor and the gun or tank. May be a leak there.

Ok so my problem was the compressor. Again, I am super new to the pcp world and figured my compressor would fill it just a lot slower. But no I obviously need to get a tank to fill it (can't afford compressor just yet). However I do have another question I'm hoping someone can help with. I would really like a bottle mod on my avenger. My local scuba shop can fill bottles of 3500psi. So I'm looking to get a bottle conversion kit and a 3500 or 3000 bottle. How would the shop fill the bottle? Would it be while attached to the gun or removed from gun, filled and then re attached and set regulator on gun? Any help is super appriciated.

So you were just trying to use a regular home style compressor? I'm new to all this too, but did order a young hung (sp?) 4500psi compressor off Amazon this week. Still need to try it, but hopefully it works

I've had no problems out of my dirt cheap vevor compressor. I've filled/topped off my rifle probably 20 times now, 6 times from 0psi from making adjustments to reg. Granted I did add a $100 tuxing desicant filter in line as well.
