N/A New airgun help

Ah I had no idea they had to use specific compressors because of the pressures, are the PCP compressors expensive ? Because I assume the hand pumps would take a long time to use
The venerable Yong Heng is a go to for most of us budget gunners. $250+/- and will fill to 300 bar if needed.

Me personally, I would get the Urban as I mentioned, the YH compressor, and a 4-16x40 AO scope like a Centerpoint to start with. Should land you in the $600 area if you do your shopping right.

Firstly welcome to the Rabbit Hole® errrr....forum. Figure out your budget and don't cheap out, it'll only come back to bite you later. You haven't given your location which helps us help you better, members are literally all over the world here so a helping hand may be 'close' by. Your immediate needs are a gun, duh, a source of high pressure air (tank) 70+cf and a way to fill the tank. THAT is going to cost almost as much as the gun, if you aren't getting too carried away with shooting there are some compressors that will suffice for under $1,000 that don't require a degree in plumbing to keep them cool. Then feeding the thing and getting it tuned so it's accurate and reliable. It's daunting at first but that's what this forum is for handing out advice, luckily generally good. For a good reliable PCP, tank and gun with some pellets, the cheapest part btw, you're in the range of $2500. Add in another $400 for some decent optics. If you have a dive shop or a paint ball shop close by you can eliminate the pump...for a while, the less pressure they can give you the more trips you'll have to make. 4500psi is ideal in a 74cf tank. There are a bunch of posts here about how much air the tanks will hold depending on size, and some dealers tend to over exaggerate their capacity. You don't need a tank, you can always direct fill from a pump.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, we really don't mind.

I started with a Benjamin Marauder pistol (Prod) and a hand pump. It only stores 60 cc of air and can only be filled to 3000 psi so it is a great gun for hand pumping. I found the stock tune a little low on power and turned it up some and it's taken 17 squirrels for me so far. If I hadn't added an Avenger next, I might still be hand pumping. For small guns with modest pressure needs I found it works fine. Others are more tolerant of hand pumping and do it for much larger guns. Another variable in my mind is target shooting versus hunting. Hunting requires relatively few shots so hand pumping is not bad. Target shooting can involve many more shots where hand pumping gets old.

My other reason to comment again on this is my recomendation of a 22 caliber. I think it is the best all around choice but I've been enjoying my P35-177 and it's taken 15 squirrels for me so far. Pellets are even cheaper than 22. The regulator came set to 125 bar in my 177 versus 135 or more for the 22 and 25. It also uses less air per shot. I can get close to 100 shots per fill with the 177 whereas the others are closer to half that. So if I was hand pumping I would seriously consider a 177. It has adequate power and it's only real disadvantage for targets is the very low bc of the pellets makes it more wind sensitive. But if you are hand pumping the low regulator setting makes it possible to fill to a lower pressure and the greater shot count keeps you shooting longer before refilling.
