New airgun shooter

Hello all, I've been browsing here on AGN for a while and this past Sunday I finally got a new to me PCP.

I come from powder burners and 100yd shooting so this is right up my alley and I am definitely looking forward to getting range time with Air. 

I started at the top with a beautiful and barely used Daystate Redwolf .22 HP, Aztec Emerald 5.5-25x50 scope, and trident moderator. I am still waiting for my Omega 100 cu ft hp3 air tank to arrive.

In the meantime, I am looking to acquire a good shooting rest and scope leveling setup. The Aztec is definitely at a cant as is, the wheeler setup looks decent, and I will be looking to use the same setup on powder burners as well.

Looking forward to doing more reading and posting here as time passes!

Welcome to the addiction/sickness/money pit. ;^) Always good to have new blood around. This is a great place to be to learn, teach and socialize. Looks like you didn't mess around getting into it. Probly saved yourself quite a tidy sum not starting at the bottom and werqing your way up. Congrats on the nice set up.

Many years ago I had a friend who always preached "buy once, cry once" after he watched me save money on an item up front just to spend a ton extra later making it worth while. So I stuck to that and started at the top for this. It shoots amazingly well. I have 3 tins of pellets to start with at the range once I get the scope mounted properly!

You bought a fantastic air rifle.I also have a Redwolf and when it's doing its thing, it's a lazer.Enjoy the world of PCP air rifles, it's a deep dark hole you can drop a much money in as you can afford....there are so many choices...you CAN'T just have ENOUGH..

I'm all for saving some money. But more often than not, you not only get what you pay for, but also have something that holds value.

Great gun, I have the same. Mine loves the 25gr JSBs on high power. I broke down and drilled the forearm for a pic rail and put an Atlas Bipod on it. Works like a champ.

Now when the new Delta Wolf comes out you will know what to expect. LOL

I have 8 PCPs and the Redwolf and Impact are my go to guns. 

PCPs are a true addiction.

Hookster, I don't know if I could bring myself to drill into this stock. if it was a synthetic, it probably wouldn't phase me at all. I think I will likely end up running a bottle clamp from Utah air and an atlas bipod but for now, I'm looking to get a Caldwell rest from another forum member and personal friend.

The clamps hit the market after I drilled and cried. It came out good and works awesome. I wanted a clamp but only available in the UK at the time and didn't look very nice.
