New animal to me-what is it?

I think it's a badger. Am I correct?

Classic "required watching" movie. Been quoted countless times in other movies.
Do any of you guys watch Longmire? There is an episode with two brothers seeking buried treasure. One excellent scene is the camera showing a partial view of the poster from Treasure of Sierra Madre with Bogart.

I watched 2 pit bulls corner a badger backed up against some sagebrush once. After a few minutes of that badger, them pit bulls left with their tails tucked. They have an enormously powerful neck, shoulders, and front legs from a lifetime of digging, plus front claws designed for ripping and tearing.
And they fit loosely in their skin. Another special defense quality the badger possesses.
So imagine that pit Bull clamped down on that badger with its jaw. The badger can spin around within its skin and claw the sheet out of that pit bulls noggin till he lets go. And the badger will keep going at them till they truly leave him alone.

Watch YouTube vids of the honey badger around lions, hyenas and gorillas. They all leave him alone.
Like what was explained in one of the vids, yeah, a lion could make a meal of the badger eventually, but at what expense? A torn up face? Missing eyeball? Yeah so they just move on
