Well well well look what the cat dragged in. Looks like they took the same AP16 action and air tube, then slapped on a few target pistol upgrades. Guess the AP16’s were just collecting dust in the warehouse so they thought dressing it up differently would make em sell. Ehhhh!! Try again

...seeing how there are not any in stock anywhere is seems unlikely that they are collecting dust somewhere...

Whether they’re collecting dust in a shipping container awaiting customs approval or not is anyone’s GUESS. Either way it’s a lazy attempt at making a 10m pistol. Took as much skill and creativity to make that pistol as it does to “build” a 2240. Same lady, different dress

...not to be all negative n' poop, but with the price of the regular AP16 so high, I would think not...
...aside from the trigger the base pistol seems like pretty solid platform to start with...IMHO...

There’s nothing negative about stating they used the same pistol in a lazy attempt to make a match pistol. The positives have been stated about the AP16 In other posts. It’s redundant to keep saying the same XXXX. So I’ll call a spade a spade and say this is a lazily crafted pistol

I actually agree with Legionair's opinion on the gun, it's a very lazy approach at making a 10m pistol and it will never have a chance of competing with the 10m pistols in the $1000 price range if they haven't improved that trigger - which it does not look like they have. I am also quite disappointed that all they did was remove the magazine and put in a single shot tray - cocking mechanism appears to be the same so I wouldn't be surprised if there is a mag rotation mechanism still moving under there.
I wouldn't buy this one, but I'm curious to see if they have any other pistols coming out.

It is an established fact that they used the same pistol. I have not stated any opinions as facts.
I think the AP16 is an awesome pistol but to see Ataman use the same pistol to make a match pistol is disappointing. I appreciate seeing new designs and the ingenuity and creativity it took to make them. There is nothing special about this pistol from what I can see. The only thing that would make this pistol special is a better trigger. Which is the determining factor in whether this will be a true match pistol.

...they are promising something new so maybe it is a way to keep the AP16 tooling productive when some bold new product kills the demand for the AP16....
