FX "NEW" Appreciation of my .25!

I purchased my 1st brand new airgun in 2017, an FX Royale 500 from Utah Airguns. It was a dream for me stepping up from entry level to higher tier guns. It's always been an amazing shooter & great hunting gun but a few months after purchasing I found an FX Boss .30 for a great price & couldn't pass it up. It became my favorite & my go-to for all my hunting. This has been the norm for 6 years. I'd only occasionally pull out the Royale. Ground Squirrel "season" is all but over for now in my area but I've still gone out a few times lately just to plink & practice & stay in shape. The other day I went out with all 3 of my guns but pulled the Royale out 1st to put through its paces. I never got around to pulling out my Boss or Bobcat (.22) that day because I was having such a mind blowing, ecstatic experience shooting my Royale! I'd absolutely forgotten what a smooth, quiet & superbly accurate laser I owned. From 50 to 92 yards anything up to a dime size target didn't stand a chance! HOW DID I NOT REMEMBER what this gun is capable of & how hard it hits at 905fps? It's almost like having a new gun again & for now, my current go-to! What an enjoyable time I had reestablishing my connection with a superb shooter! (Sorry I didn't mount my camera but I only really use it for hunting)

Another "plus" since I mainly hunt, my Royale shoots Hades pellets more accurately than any other pellet used in that gun. Absolutely winning combination for me! I never expected that. I'll never forget, hunting in Hemet a couple or 3 years ago with Socaloldman, Pesty3782 & Centercut, we spotted a GS standing up on a rock 100 ft above us & 125 yards away. Centercut shot & missed (Sorry for throwing you under the bus Mike) & then I NAILED it with a head shot with my Royale. My 1st 100+ yard kill ever I think. Getting a "GREAT shot, Gerry" from C'cut made my day! I also think that was the day Centercut made a 217 yard kill with his Edgun!

I have one in .25. AOA converted it for me to a carbon fiber bottle. One of the most stable, smooth, and accurate airguns in my collection. Mine prefers the AA 25.4 Gr pellet.
I'd always used those & JSB 25.39gr until I tried .25 Hades. Couldn't believe I got even more accuracy from those & been using them ever since.

Good looking guns Gerry! What speed/pellet/ slug do you have them set up?

No slugs with OST barrels. Only pellets. Around 900‐905fps.
Bobcat is so ugly man
I agree on the aesthetics. NOT a good LOOKING design but amazing how comfortable & easy to handle. It's beauty lies in its function, not form.

Bobcat is so ugly man
Wanted to tell you, the Bobcat was gifted to me by a good friend. Thought it was one of the ugliest guns I've seen. Didn't think I'd ever use it. It was set up for scope clicking, only one of my guns that is. Wasn't a fan of .22 either. The 1st time I took it out I COULDN'T BELIEVE the insane accuracy of it & how precise the scope setup was. Didn't think .22 would be good for long range hunting but this thing hits wherever it's supposed to. Very 1st Kill was 102 yard head shot on a ground squirrel. My bias about its looks went away instantly! Like I said, its beauty is in its function & isn't that what we all want anyway?

I remember when they came out a while back, so many nicknames, one of them was the Beluga, I think they are pretty sexy and unique.
