New Benjamin 392

My new Benjamin 392 showed up at my doorstep last night. This morning, I took it out of the box, cleaned the barrel and went out to test it. I was pleasantly surprised on how accurately this gun shoots. This is one of the best bargains in airgunning if you don't mind a little work pumping. Unlike a lot of other crap sold in the big box stores, this is all steel with a decent wood stock. An old classic worthy of a place in my airgun collection. I've got a lot of high end guns, but this one I can grab just to plink.

Nice! I recently put a red dot sight on my Sheridan model C and it's a lot of fun to shoot. RL Airguns has a really nice scope mount for the 392 made by Ballistic Enterprises. It's so sturdy that Greg the designer holds on to the scope while pumping. I think you can also get a peep sight for it. Anyway, have fun with your new plinker!

jps2486: the Benji pumpers are all soldered brass construction, not steel. I only mention this because they can be a bit more delicate than some of you steel guns (especially the barrel). That said, glad you seem to have gotten a good-un! I've seen a few more folks complaining about the accuracy of these guns lately, me included, until I learned about the paint inside the muzzle thing.
