NEW BSA ULTRA 160 (BULL-BINE)

B......Bigger bore, more power

S......Side lever cocking

A......Anti-gravity enhanced (lose some weight). Auto function fed from a belt magazine ala Sig-Sauer.

That would be a BSA for the American airgunner. A charge pressure of 300 Bar from a large tank would go a long way toward making a BSA a practical high power option for me. That new BSA magazine design that does not require high scope mounts and prevents double feed on the new Ultra CLX should quickly be adopted across the entire BSA PCP product line. The success of the FX Impact should be blatantly obvious to BSA as to how they have fallen on their face in regard to their view held by American airgunners. Now Benjamin has their semi-auto Marauder and we will probably see a semi-auto Bulldog in the near future.

I saw eight Sig-Sauer MCX Virtus air rifles for sale at Scheel's in Billings yesterday. The first PCP air rifles they have ever sold, at internet price level, with no sales tax, since this is Montana. That rifle will break a lot of Americans into the PCP world of airgunning, and they WILL want higher power along with the semi-auto high capacity magazine feature. BELT FEDS MATTER.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I appreciate a low to moderate powered carbine along side my higher powered airguns. The Brocock Contour is one of my favorite.

I’m with you Mike. I can certainly appreciate the low to mid powered guns. That is part of why I like airgunning otherwise I’d shoot powder. A 177 12 fpe gun is near perfect to me. 30 fpe in 22 is what I consider high power. Ha ha!

This gun looks cool. If I didn’t already have one that fills that slot and I was in the market to buy, I would add this one on the list to consider. I sure do like a sidelever though....

This is a great time to be a pcp airgunner. So many cool choices and the choices seem to be expanding.

+1! If it ever goes on sale I’ll be super tempted. The only regret I have is I didn’t get my old ultra in .177 or I would still have it. The form factor is basically perfect and given its celebration of their longevity a traditional style everything rifle makes 100% sense. In fact I have grown fond of their silky smooth bolt action especially with a larger aftermarket knob. Side lever is great and all but it’s not a big deal, I have other guns that have side lever and they both are great if done right. I’ll take that silky smooth bolt action over some of the crunchy side levers in Chinese and turkey guns I’ve tried any day!!!
