I finally settled on the daystate type 2 compressor! !! It arrived yesterday and im very impressed with the build and quality. My 3ltr bottle was on 200 bar. I charged it to 300bar in less than 5mins. Absolutely love it.

Yea. I wanted one of those but was too expensive for my budget. I went with the omega and am very happy with it.

Congratulations !!! This is on my wish list. Did you use the auto shut off feature (new for Type 2).

It has the auto shut off !! It is the same one as in the video with to and Giles. Wouldn't want Giles round for dinner

jimmiezz, I just ordered an Omega Air Charger ($1,395). Do you fill your tank and use it to fill your bottle, or do you fill your bottle directly?

The new Daystate compressor has the 310 bar? blow off, but also now has a pressure gauge that you can set to shut the compressor off at various pressures.
When i fill the Omega, i set it for 4200 (4500 max ps)i, when i fill the scuba tanks i set it for 3200 (3442 max psi) it runs for the few minutes it needs to, to fill these tanks and then automatically shuts off.

The Daystate is certainly a work horse! Don't forget to test the bleed-off prior to filling your TANK to ensure the safety is working correctly.

I use my new Omega Air Charger to fill my 66 cu.ft. HPA carbon fiber tank - the tank fills my PCP's. I've only topped my tank off once, but man, this thing is NICE.

Nice!. Yea I have been looking at compressors and found that they are either slow (shoebox) 1k or they are junk mrodair china one or they cost 3k.
Now looking at Daystate like yours or a Coltri (Same one i think). I would think Daystate might be better as they are a air gun company that might add modifications that the coltri does not have or maybe its identical in all respects, not sure. I like the looks of the Daystate over that blue.

Three times cheaper for the same one? It can't be. anyone buy one of those alibaba clones?
The more I look its seems its 3k unit or don't bother as the other ones seem to be headaches. Even the Daystate is one because its 30 amps 220. So would need to feed off the stove 0r house dryer plug or wire in a 220 off the breaker box if its has enough surplus.
All of a sudden that drive to the scuba shop does not seem so bad

bltefft, I'm glad to hear you say that! I'm one gun bottle fill from my Omega 75 cu-ft 4,500 psi tank away from using my new Omega Air Charger for the first time to fill my tank. I have my Charger all set-up and ready to go. She's been sitting in my bedroom for a week or two now lookin' sexy ;-)! I want to see how long my Air Charger takes to fill my tank under normal operating conditions (tank partially filled, but just at the point where it will not fill my bottle to 250 bar). How long does it take to fill your 66 cu-ft tank? (is it already partially filled?)

I also have an Omega 75cu tank and the Omega Super Charger which is the same output as the Air Charger. Takes about 25 mins (I didn't time it exactly) to go from 3400psi to 4500psi. Nice and quiet, too.
Watch and listen for any leaks the 1st few times you use your new compressor.

Edit: Should have said approximately 45 mins, not 25. Sorry about that. Still just a guess as I didn't time it exactly. Had a bunch of family texts and phone calls coming in just as I was posting this last night. I just remember that it's a lot less than 1-2 hours.

Matt247365, no kidding?! I figured it would take about two hours (even from 3,626 psi / 250 bar). That's amazingly good news! I heard it takes over four hours to fill a 75 cu-ft 4,500 psi tank from empty with an Omega Air Charger. I guess it takes an inordinate amount of time to get from empty to 3,400 psi. Shows what I know about physics!
Thanks for the advice, Matt. I'm fixin' to go out hunting so I can get my tank down to charging pressure! I'm really looking forward to using my Charger for the first time! It's so nice not having to deal with a**hole dive shops, that never fill my tank to full capacity anyway!

I've had my Omega Supercharger since early December. It takes approx 1 hour to fill my 75 Cubic Foot Omega Tank from 3000 psi to 4500 psi and less than 15 minutes for 90 Cubic Inch Air Venturi Tank from 3000 psi to 4500 psi. One nice thing is it doesn't really heat up your tank when you fill it to a high pressure. My auto shut-off is at 4500 psi and the tanks are above 4400 psi when it totally cools off. Very happy!

Matt, I was amazed at the 25 minute number, but 45 minutes is still great! At any rate (literally), I am on the verge of popping the cherry on my new Omega Air Charger. I probably have only one or two more bottle fills on my Impact .30 before my Omega 75 cu-ft tank is unable to fully charge my bottle to 250 bar. I am really looking forward to seeing how long it actually takes for my Charger to fully charge my tank from 3,626 psi (250 bar) to 4,500 psi (310bar). I was operating under the impression that it would take at least two hours, which I was fine with. I would usually have to wait overnight for a dive shop to fill my tank, and even then it would be charged to only 4,000 psi (275 bar).
I am really encouraged by the feedback I am getting regarding the Omega Air Charger and the Omega 75 cu-ft carbon fiber tank. As they said when I was in the Navy, "If you don't know, you better ask somebody!"
